Biography[]
- "I'm sorry you had to see that, Yukio."
"It's okay." - ―Wade Wilson and Yukio[src]
Yukio was born a mutant with the ability to manipulate electricity, leading her to joining the X-Men, where she met and began dating fellow member Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Yukio would meet another mutant, Deadpool, who temporarily joined the X-Men, although it did not last, but the two became very friendly with each other.
In 2024, Yukio was invited to Wilson's surprise birthday party at his apartment, along with Negasonic, as well as the rest of Wilson's friends. After surprising Wilson when he returned home, all the guests mingled with each other. Yukio and Negasonic talked with Wilson about his toupée, which Yukio liked. Peter Wisdom showed Yukio and Negasonic his chain piercing, which Yukio pulled on. All the guests listened to Wilson make a speech about how grateful he was to have them in his life. A few days later, they all got together again for dinner, and were joined by Logan and Laura.[1]

She eventually becomes the leader of the New X-Men.
- In 20th Century Fox's X-Men film series, Yukio is an X-Man and lover of Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Yukio, Phimister and Colossus helped Deadpool in his fight against The Headmaster.
- In 2023, a character based on this version of the character was adapted into the comics proper as Yuki Ohara, a Canadian mutant with electricity-based powers and a romantic connection to Negasonic Teenage Warhead. She is also a space courier and part-time mech pilot.
