- "We do not do that to each other! We're Ravagers! We have a code!"
"Yeah, and that code is steal from everybody." - ―Yondu Udonta and Peter Quill[src]
Yondu Ravager Clan was one of the hundred clans of the Ravagers. Distinguished by their crimson garbs, this clan was lead by Yondu Udonta until the mutiny led by Taserface.
History
The Ravagers were led by Yondu Udonta and were affiliated with Ego who was ordering Udonta to track down his children and deliver them to Ego.[1]
Kidnapping of Peter Quill
- "Yeah, Quill turned out okay. It's probably good we didn't deliver him to his dad like we was hired to do."
"Yeah, that guy was a jackass." - ―Yondu Udonta and Kraglin Obfonteri[src]
In 1988, they abducted Peter Quill to return him to his father, but neglected to do so. Instead, Yondu himself raised Peter as a Ravager.[2]
Hunting Down Star-Lord
- "Put a bounty on him! Forty K. But I want him back alive."
"Yeah, Cap."
"Alive?"
"That's what I said." - ―Yondu Udonta, Kraglin Obfonteri and Horuz[src]
In 2014, Star-Lord went to Morag and stole an Orb that the Ravagers were hired to receive for a third party, double-crossing the other Ravagers to sell the Orb himself.[2]
A Questionable Partnership
- "You betrayed me! Steal my money! When I picked you up as a kid, these boys wanted to eat you. They ain’t never tasted Terran before. I saved your life!"
"Oh, will you shut up about that? God! Twenty years, you’ve been throwing that in my face, like it’s some great thing, not eating me!" - ―Yondu Udonta and Star-Lord[src]
On Knowhere, the Ravagers eventually found Star-Lord, and he turned himself in to them. Quill negotiated a deal with Udonta to hand over the Orb in exchange for help to stop a Kree terrorist called Ronan the Accuser from using the Orb to destroy Xandar.[2]
Battle of Xandar
On Xandar, numerous M-ships went to fight Ronan's forces, and Yondu Udonta was shot down. Star-Lord and his team, known as the Guardians of the Galaxy, managed to win the fight against Ronan while many of the Ravagers were preoccupied with Ronan's forces.
Afterwards, Quill pretended to give Udonta the Orb but secretly swapped it with a Troll Doll. Yondu Udonta and Kraglin Obfonteri later discussed that it was a good thing they did not give Quill to Ego as they were hired to do.[2]
Mutiny
Meeting in Contraxia
Yondu Ravager Clan followed Stakar Ravager Clan to Iron Lotus. Yondu Udonta confronted Stakar Ogord and demanded to return to his rightful place as a captain among the Ravagers, but Ogord refused. Meanwhile, some of Udonta's men talked about his misleading leadership and his softness towards the Guardians of the Galaxy. Suddenly, the Sovereign people arrived and hired Udonta to locate the Guardians and bring them to them for one million Units.
They found the Milano crashed in Berhert. The Ravagers got closer to the ship but were attacked by Rocket Raccoon. It was Udonta who stopped him, however, after revealing he planed to sale the Anulax Batteries Rocket possessed, Taserface and other of Udonta opponents revolted. During their fight, Nebula shot Udonta's Yaka Arrow Controller and stunned him, Rocket and Groot.[1]
End of the Yondu Clan
- "You're weak and stupid! It's time for the Ravagers to rise once again to glory with a new captain: Taserface!"
- ―Taserface to Yondu Udonta[src]
On the Eclector, Taserface declared himself as the new leader of the Yondu Ravager Clan and executed those who were still loyal to Yondu Udonta. Nebula convinced the hand Udonta and Rocket Raccoon to the Kree Empire. However, with the help of Groot and Kraglin Obfonteri, the two were freed and killed all of the Ravagers onboard. Before the ship exploded, Taserface delivered the location of Udonta to the Sovereign people. Udonta, Rocket, Groot, and Obfonteri detached the Quadrant from the rest of the ship and headed to Ego's Planet.[1]
