The Wrigley Fire Station was the main operating station for the firefighters of the Wrigley Fire Department.

The Chitauri Helmet stored at the Wrigley Fire Station
Several firemen from the Wrigley Fire Department, including Tony Diaz, Frank Whalen and Adam Cross were sent to New York in the aftermath of the Chitauri Invasion. There, they found a Chitauri Helmet they brought back to the fire station.
During a night shift, Diaz, Whalen and Cross cleaned up the helmet from what they thought to be rust. However, by doing so they were infected by a Chitauri Virus. S.H.I.E.L.D. got knowledge of the virus after Whalen and Cross were found dead. Phil Coulson, Melinda May and Grant Ward headed to the fire station, where May found the Chitauri helmet while Coulson was interrogating Diaz.

Coulson figured out that Diaz was affected by the same disease than his deceased colleagues and that he would soon die as well. He sat with Diaz in the fire station's kitchen and reassured Diaz about his impending death by mentioning his own death experience following the Attack on the Helicarrier. As Diaz was on the verge of being killed by a violent electric pulse, he told Coulson to leave. Coulson, May, Ward and the other firefighters then watched as the fire station bathed in a sudden blue light due to the electromagnetic pulse.
The day following Diaz's death, the fire station was investigated by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. The Chitauri Helmet was taken to the Bus to be stored to the Sandbox while the remaining fire fighters were taken to quarantine in a S.H.I.E.L.D. biohazard control facility.[1]
