The Wormhole Generator was a failed invention by Jane Foster to try to open a Wormhole.
History[]
Attempting to find a way to open a Wormhole to get back to Thor, Jane Foster worked tirelessly for a year, eventually creating a machine that could theoretically generate the portal. Out in the desert one night, Foster charged up the machine and watched it shoot a beam into the sky. A wormhole soon formed, but only for a second before it destabilized due to there being nothing for it to connect to, breaking Foster's confidence.[1]
