Cadet Instructor Pilot Wolff is an instructor at the United States Air Force Academy.
Biography[]
Teaching Carol Danvers[]
Wolff agreed to instruct students in Captain Jenks' Introduction to Soaring class, where he was given a group of students including Carol Danvers. He had Danvers sit in the cockpit and asked what she saw. Danvers said that she saw power as Wollf started talking about how in the plane she would feel everything the sky had in store for her. However, Jenks appeared and said that he saw restraint, refusing Wolff's notion that one can find liberation in the cockpit. Jenks explained that flying was for those with control and self-discipline rather than impulse and emotional, but Wolff said that impulse meant passion and that the important thing was whether impulse and emotion could be taught. Jenks commented that he was interested to see how the experiment ended before leaving. Wolff signaled for Danvers to leave the cockpit and worked with the other airmen in his group, offering each advice. He went through the rest of the class teaching the basics.[1]
Flying Falcons Tryouts[]
Wolff went to the tryouts for the Flying Falcons and tested pilots to help Jenks determine who would be on the team. He walked the cadets he tried out through several procedures, engaging with them and trying to get a sense of who they were as people. As the second round of students went, Wolff worked with Tom Bianchi through his procedures and took off. As Bianchi landed, he saluted Wolff before returning to his seat. As Maria Rambeau executed a barrel roll during her tryout, Wolff grinned and did not attempt to calm down the wowed group of cadets.[1]
