The Winged Helmet is a helmet worn by Thor and Jane Foster in conjunction with their Asgardian Armor.
History[]
Thor's Early Life[]
A young Thor wearing the Winged Helmet
In his youth, Thor owned and wore a winged helmet as he grew up in Asgard.[1]
Thor's Ceremony[]
Thor wearing the Winged Helmet at his coronation
Prior to his coronation ceremony, Thor was given a winged helmet by an Einherjar as part of his ceremonial outfit, and Loki complimented on its aspects, although Thor was sure that Loki was actually making fun of him. After remaining alone for some time, Thor proceeded to the Hall of Asgard, his helmet still in his hand as he encountered his mother Frigga.[2] Thor then wore the helmet as he approached the throne where Odin awaited him, and removed it before bowing to the King of Asgard and swearing to protect the Nine Realms. Thor, however, did not get the chance to wear his helmet again, for the rest of the ceremony was interrupted by an attack from the Frost Giants.[3]
Gorr's Vow Against Gods[]
Thor dons his Winged Helmet upon encountering Mighty Thor
In 2025, Jane Foster was chosen by Mjolnir and was given her own set of armor and a winged helmet that covered her face, becoming the Mighty Thor. During the Attack on New Asgard, Thor would encounter Mighty Thor. Questioning who she was, he put on his own winged helmet to match her until she removed her helmet, causing Thor to have a panic attack, with Thor eventually removing his helmet to breath.
Mighty Thor wearing her Winged Helmet in combat
Mighty Thor would utilize her helmet whenever she would enter battle; however, during their final fight with Gorr the God Butcher, the helmet would be damaged, with her keeping the helmet off until she passed away.[1]
Alternate Universe Versions[]

In an alternate universe, Captain America caused a temporal anomaly to merge the 17th and 21st centuries, upon hitting the Time Stone during the Battle of Wakanda. Within the temporal anomaly, Thor wore a Winged Helmet as Prince and later King of England.[5]
