Will Adams appeared on WHiH World News on April 22, 2016, to discuss the potential regulation of enhanced individuals with Christine Everhart. Everhart brought up the intervention of the Avengers in international incidents, and while she commended their actions she asked Adams who accounted for the devastation they left behind. Adams answered that the question was not whether should be allowed to operate independently, but rather why they should not. He pointed out that in the cache of material released by Natasha Romanoff it had been revealed that HYDRA had infiltrated the highest ranks of S.H.I.E.L.D. and organized a massive conspiracy on the civilian population. He stated that Romanoff's actions, which were independent of oversight, had saved many lives from what could have been a catastrophic outcome if HYDRA had remained undiscovered.

Everhart pointed out that while the actions of individuals like Romanoff, Steve Rogers and Tony Stark had been admirable, which Adams interjecting that they had saved hundreds of thousands of people, but began highlighting the collateral damage. When she revealed that a special report to be shown later in the week would recap the Battle of New York, the Battle at the Triskelion, and the Battle of Sokovia in order to allow viewers to decide if the Avengers should submit to international oversight growing concern from governments around the world or continue to operate independently, Adams challenged her to convince him that anything they had done was less than admirable.[1]
