- "Have you ever been up to River's End? I just bought a house in town."
- ―Wilfred Malick to Phil Coulson[src]
Wilfred Malick's Estate was the residence of Wilfred Malick in River's End.
History[]
Return of Luke[]
- "I had a feeling you'd be back today. You know, I have the best view in town for watching the launch."
- ―Wilfred Malick to Luke[src]
Located in River's End, the house was bought by Wilfred Malick in order to remain close to the Lighthouse, which was scheduled to be the launch site of Project Insight. In 1976, on launch day, Malick was visited by Luke. Discussing what had happened at The Krazy Kanoe with Malick's son Nathaniel three years before, Luke informed Malick that S.H.I.E.L.D. would soon come to his house as well. In order to be ready for their visit, Luke gave Malick pictures of Alphonso Mackenzie's parents imprisoned in the Lighthouse, in order for him to use it as leverage against S.H.I.E.L.D.[1]
Assassination of Wilfred Malick[]
- "Actually, I had a notion that you'd turn up. Just like they said you would. We have a fine view of the launch, moments away."
- ―Wilfred Malick to Deke Shaw[src]
In accordance with Luke's warning, Wilfred Malick was soon confronted by two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents: Deke Shaw and Yo-Yo Rodriguez, who stormed the estate and quickly handled Malick's guards. Although held at gunpoint by Shaw, Malick remained unimpressed, expressing confidence thanks to the leverage provided by Luke. Malick taunted the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents at length, claiming that they stood no chance against the Chronicoms since they could anticipate their every move, but eventually he was shot by Shaw before he could finish his speech.
In the aftermath of Malick's death, Rodriguez retrieved the pictures of Alphonso Mackenzie's parents. Understanding that Malick's threats were not idle, Rodriguez and Shaw quickly left the estate to return to the Zephyr One.[1]
