- "Entwined was a broadcast frequency. So I had your goons pick me up a sweet vintage TV. And when I plug this bad boy in, voilà, sound and picture."
"So you're saying the universe created a sitcom starring two Avengers?" - ―Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo[src]
We Interrupt This Program is the fourth episode of the first season of WandaVision.

Captain Monica Rambeau wakes up in a hospital room after seemingly dozing off while waiting for her mother Maria to be discharged. As she leaves the room to look for her mother, she finds the hospital in a state of panic as patients and personnel alike materialize out of thin-air. She soon tracks down her mother's doctor, who reveals that Maria passed away from cancer three years ago, two years after Monica herself "disappeared."
Three weeks later, Monica arrives at S.W.O.R.D. headquarters where the acting director Tyler Hayward regretfully informs her she's been grounded from space flight at the posthumous orders of her mother, who had done so with the faith that Monica would one day return from the Snap but out of concern for her safety. He then assigns her on a mission with the FBI to investigate a missing persons case in Westview, New Jersey. Upon arrival at the town's limits, Monica meets up with FBI Agent Jimmy Woo, who explains someone in the Witness Protection Program based in Westview failed to check-in that morning, and upon investigation he discovered not only had said-witness's relatives not been in contact with him, they'd never heard of him. Furthermore, the local police claim Westview does not even exist, despite the fact they are standing right in front of it. Jimmy explains for some reason he is unable to enter the town, claiming he gets the strange feeling it does not want him to enter. Monica sets up a helicopter drone to investigate, but it mysteriously vanishes upon encountering an energy field. Monica's attempt to personally breach the field turns awry when it sucks her in and she vanishes.
24 hours later, Dr. Darcy Lewis is called in alongside various other scientists by S.W.O.R.D. to try to figure out what is causing the "Westview Anomaly." Analyzing the field, she discovers it contains massive amounts of Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (originating from the Big Bang), but also has a television wavelength, from which she discovers a television sitcom starring Wanda Maximoff and Vision. Knowing Vision died at the hands of Thanos, they keep watching and try to identify all of the residents of Westview, who have been cast as "characters" in the sitcom: "Mr." and Mrs. Hart" are actually Todd and Sharon Davis, "Herb" is actually John Collins, "Beverly" is actually Isabel Matsueida, and "Norm" is actually Abilash Tandon. They also send Agent Franklin in a hazmat suit to try to retrieve Rambeau.
They finally spot Monica in the broadcast filling the role of "Geraldine" and also notice her S.W.O.R.D. drone appear onscreen in-color but with an altered appearance to match the production design of the "sitcom." Darcy suggests that they try to make contact with Wanda directly to try to figure out who is causing the television reality by sending their own communication signal to an object onscreen. They seem to succeed when Jimmy manages to broadcast directly to a radio that is next to Wanda while she is chatting with Dottie, but the feed unexpectedly skips ahead and the scene continues as if the moment never happened, to Darcy's surprise. Agent Franklin arrives in the television reality but his suit is changed into a beekeeper's outfit by the energy field. He emerges in the street outside of Wanda and Vision's home, where they spot him, only for Wanda to rewind time so Vision does not see.
Jimmy and Darcy continue watching the broadcast and witness the birth of Wanda's twins with Monica's assistance. They observe Monica reference Ultron, the first time the real world has been acknowledged, only for the image to unexpectedly skip ahead to the end credits of the episode with Monica nowhere to be seen. Darcy theorizes someone is censoring the broadcasts. As they try to figure out what happened to Monica, they learn the energy field has just been breached. Back in the television world, Wanda confronts Monica about her knowledge of Ultron. She menacingly declares Monica is an intruder in her world and uses her powers to violently throw Monica out of the house and the entire town, then quickly undoes the damage before Vision can come back. Monica lands outside the town limits where Darcy and Jimmy run to meet her.
Wanda turns to greet Vision, but is horrified to see him as his corpse from after Thanos' attack, all the color gone from his face and with the Mind Stone violently removed. Upon looking at him again and seeing his normal face, she declares that everything is fine. Vision suggests that perhaps they should move, but she refuses, saying they don't need to leave because this is their home. She then invites a clearly perturbed Vision (still pondering his previous conversation with Agnes and "Herb") to join her on the couch with their children. Lying in shock outside the town surrounded by S.W.O.R.D. agents, Monica realizes Wanda is the one who created the television reality.

Trivia
- As We Interrupt This Program is not an episode of Wanda Maximoff's in-universe sitcom, WandaVision, it is the first episode of the series to not contain a theme song or a commercial break.
- This episode's events are shown to have unfolded concurrently with the first three episodes. With this, Darcy Lewis is revealed as the mysterious woman watching the sitcom in Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience, Jimmy Woo is revealed as the mysterious voice on the radio in Don't Touch That Dial, and Agent Franklin is the mysterious beekeeper seen at the end of the same episode.
- When Jimmy Woo introduces himself to Monica Rambeau, he uses a card trick to show her his business card. This is the same card trick that he wanted to learn from Scott Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
- So far, this episode is the only WandaVision episode to featured all of main cast of the series.
