As the leader of the Order of the Red Daggers, Waleed monitored the Earthly Plane and protected it against potential threats coming from the Noor Dimension. Recognizing Kareem's value and abilities, he appointed him as the new Red Dagger, sending him on missions to track down and neutralize threats such as the Clandestines.[2]
Meeting Kamala Khan[]
"If the Clandestines use the bangle to tear down the Veil, they'll unleash their world onto ours. Until there's nothing left of it."
Upon learning of Kamala Khan's presence in Pakistan, Waleed welcomed her into the secret Order of the Red Daggers' Hideout after she clashed against Red Dagger at the Karachi Station. Waleed offered Khan a meal and explained to her the role of the Order of the Red Daggers to protect the world from the Noor Dimension, and warned her that the Clandestines could use her bangle to tear down the veil between the Noor Dimension and the Earthly Plane, destroying the latter. Waleed then noticed an inscription on the bangle, something he had never heard of before, and translated it into "What you seek is seeking you".
The next day, Waleed had Khan return to the safehouse to demonstrate her Noor-based abilities, and he hypothesized that her genetics as an hybrid of both human and Noor Dimension's origin enabled her to control the Noor energy in the Earthly Plane. He then offered Khan a piece of clothing from the Order of the Red Daggers' belongings.[2]
As he talked with Kamala Khan and Kareem, Waleed was surprised by an attack by the Clandestines who breached into the Order of the Red Daggers' Hideout. Waleed immediately instructed Kareem to take Khan to safety while he remained behind and faced the four Clandestines by himself, unleashing gas into the room to disturb his opponents. Waleed was able to resist the Clandestines, even taking down Aadam as he tried to force his way out of the room to chase Khan and Kareem. He then left the hideout and got into a rickshaw with the two teenagers, as they were soon chased by the Clandestines.
Due to the Clandestines catching up on them, Waleed ordered Kareem to take Khan with him on the motorbike while he would remain behind and buy them some time. As he attempted to lure them away, he was chased into the alleys of Karachi by Najma, using his agility and his knives to climb up the walls and lead her away from Khan, although Najma was able to follow him and soon confronted him. Upon noticing Khan and Kareem still being followed by Saleem, Waleed threw two of his knives into his chest, killing him. However, the few seconds during which he turned his back on Najma were fatal, as she stabbed him in the back and let him fall from a balcony, killing him as well. Although Khan wanted to rescue him, Kareem acknowledged his mentor's death and they both ran away.[2]

Waleed was dedicated to his work as a leader of the Order of the Red Daggers, protecting the Earthly Plane from the threats of the Noor Dimension. He was also trustworthy and warm, welcoming Kamala Khan into his hideout after understanding that she was not a threat despite having powers coming from the Noor Dimension, for which Waleed expressed genuine curiosity, and he assured Khan of the support of the Order of the Red Daggers. Waleed also put the safety of both Khan and Kareem above everything else, doing his best to keep the Clandestines away from them while facing them all by himself.
Waleed was an extremely skilled hand to hand combatant and martial artist, with years of experience within the Order of the Red Daggers. When the Clandestines attacked his hideout, he proved himself to be able to hold his own against the four of them, being aided by a mist of gas that enabled him to attack them by surprise and repeatedly stagger them.
Knife Mastery: Waleed was extermely skilled at using knifes in combat, and used them as his weapon of choice. Beyond the offensive capabilities that they offered him, he was also able to use them to climb up on walls by throwing them into the stone.
Expert Marksman: Waleed had excellent accuracy when throwing his knives, for example being able to throw two of them right into Saleem's chest from a distance after quickly evaluating the distance he was at.

Waleed was extremely agile, performing feats of incredible flexibility that enabled him to progress in the narrow alleys of Karachi without being really hindered by all the people and obstacles in front of him.
