Channel 8 was covering the Global Repatriation Council meeting in New York City to vote on the Patch Act, but the meeting was soon interrupted by an attack by the Flag Smashers. Channel 8 later broadcast Captain America's speech where he debated the ethics of the GRC while reflecting on his struggles as a Black hero.[1]
