While dating Daniel Sousa, Violet lived there. One night, upon coming home, she felt threatened and retrieved a baseball bat, but found Sousa sleeping on her couch with dinner set up on the table. Sousa asked her to marry him, but had lost the ring, so she agreed and went looking for the ring.
Later, when Peggy Carter was stabbed by a rebar while infiltrating a Roxxon Warehouse, Sousa brought Carter to Violet's house for treatment in order to avoid the powerful men who they believe to own the hospitals. Carter left and Violet confronted Sousa about his apparent feelings for Carter, prompting her to break off the engagement.[1]
