Victor Stein was the father of Chase Stein.
Biography[]
Relationship with Janet Stein[]
Invention Confiscated[]
While dating Janet, Stein and her invented a cell tower disruptor that eventually got confiscated by the FBI.[2]
Disrupting Cell Towers[]
Even though Janet Stein had died in the Healing Algorithm, Stein had managed to recover her consciousness from the algorithm and displayed her on a monitor to help. In order to stop Morgan le Fay's connection with Corvus phones, the couple and Chase Stein tried to think of ways. However, every try resulted in only blocking it for thirty seconds.
Janet then brought up the disruptor incident with the FBI and they both figured out that they could trick the cell towers into thinking they were hacked, shutting it down. As the Runaways distracted le Fay, Janet and Stein were able to succeed and diminish le Fay's power through the Corvus phones. When the dust settled, Stein heard crying from his son and walked out to see Gert Yorkes as she died on the ground despite having defeated le Fay.[2]

By 2021, Chase Stein had spent all of his time trying to invent time travel to go back and save Gert Yorkes. To help, Stein sent Chase a package.
Eventually, Stein was killed when Chase successfully invented a time machine and used it to save Yorkes, erasing Stein's reality from existence.[1]
