When Yondu Udonta told T'Challa that Wakanda was destroyed following his abduction from Earth, he wore a vibranium necklace to remind him of his home he could not return to.
Upon entering the Collector's hangar, the necklace synchronized with the Royal Talon Fighter that Tivan had in his collection. When Tivan put T'Challa into a containment unit, intending to make him an exhibit for his collection, T'Challa used the necklace to break the glass and escape, only to be restrained again by Ebony Maw.[1]
