Sinister Strange to Doctor Strange[src]

At some point in this universe, Doctor Strange attended Christine Palmer's wedding, and she asked is he was happy. Strange replied that he was, but upon returning to the Sanctum Sanctorum, he reflected that he wasn't actually. Desperate to be with Palmer, Strange learned the spells from the Darkhold and started to dreamwalk into his alternate selves.

The dreamwalking took its toll, and Strange was corrupted by it. This resulted in him killing his Variants, and at one point, an incursion occurred. This resulted in another universe colliding with this one, causing everybody except Strange himself to perish.[1]

Sinister Strange and Doctor Strange[src]

After years of desolation, the Doctor Strange from the sacred timeline arrived, along with an alternate Christine Palmer. The two Stranges met, and proved to each other that they were in fact alternate selves. Sinister Strange revealed his story of failing his universe, and when asked, refused to provide the Darkhold to his Variant. The two fought, and Sinister Strange was defeated and killed, leaving the universe with no living citizens.[1]

Destruction of the Darkhold[]

"So she destroyed the Darkhold in every universe."
Doctor Strange on Scarlet Witch[src]

After gaining the Darkhold, the Strange Variant used it to commune with his own universe. This involved the possession of a corpse, which was forbidden. This caused the souls of the damned to escape from Strange into the desolate universe. However, they were vanquished by Palmer. Thanks to Strange's efforts in his home universe, Wanda Maximoff decided to destroy copies of the Darkhold across all universes, including the one that fell to its curses. Strange and Palmer returned to their home universes, leaving this one devoid of any living beings.[1]
