The "Universe Defender Blade" Universe is the home reality of Blade, who was unable to protect his world before being pruned.

Eric Brooks was born a dhampir, a vampire-human hybrid. Using his vampiric abilities, Brooks became the vampire hunter known as Blade, before eventually retiring. Amid his retirement, Brooks was visited by the Time Variance Authority who informed him that this universe was dying. Knowing that Brooks would fight to save it, they sent him to the Void. The TVA eventually returned Brooks to this universe due to his help in defeating Cassandra Nova.
