The United States Navy Sea, Air, and Land Teams, commonly known as the United States Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's principal special operations force and a part of the Naval Special Warfare Command and United States Special Operations Command.

History[]

Ghost Unit[]

Erik Stevens was recruited into the United States Navy SEALs and eventually joined a ghost unit as a black-ops mercenary. While in the SEALs, Stevens served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Due to his savagery, while serving in the Armed Forces, Stevens gained the nickname of Killmonger.[1]

Ten Rings[]

Due to the activity of the Ten Rings, Navy SEALs collaborated with S.H.I.E.L.D. to fight against them. Nick Fury sent a team of SEALs led by Garrett to board a ship controlled by the Ten Rings in the port of Aden. However, Iron Man suddenly appeared and attacked the terrorists. Though the SEALs were outnumbered by the terrorists, Stark had no problems with killing all the terrorists and saving the SEALs.[2]

Several Navy SEALs were recruited into the covert military squad and stationed in Afghanistan under commands of Ray Schoonover and William Rawlins.[3]

Vibranium Search Operation[]

In 2025, a unit of SEALs led by Admiral Smitty were asked by the CIA to partake in a search operation for vibranium on the Harvey Sub-Sea in the Gulf of Mexico. Smitty got his units there and provided security as the CIA agents were sent down underwater. When Graham arrived, Smitty accompanied her to watch the surveillance. As they surveyed, several SEALs were entranced by the Talokanil and jumped overboard to their deaths. When Henderson was about to jump, Smitty saved him. However, Attuma then jumped onboard, killing both Henderson and Smitty.[4]
