Mila Masaryk is a criminal who, upon escaping from the Police Department of New York City after a heist while her gang teammates were arrested, became acquainted with doctor Otto Octavius, who equipped her with a weaponized predictive combat helmet. Freeing her friends from prison and adopting the moniker Unicorn, Masaryk became obsessed with her power and attempted to kill Spider-Man, only to be defeated by her former teammate Mikhail Sytsevich, who she used against Spider-Man, and arrested.
