Ulysses Bloodstone's Use[]
Ulysses Bloodstone wielded the axe as part of his crusade against the monsters of Earth, using it to kill many monsters.[1]
Hunt for Man-Thing[]
Elsa Bloodstone wields the axe
Following Ulysses Bloodstone's death, the axe was hidden within the Bloodstone Manor as a weapon to be used by the members of the Monster Hunting Cabal to hunt and kill Man-Thing in order to acquire the Bloodstone. The axe was located by Joshua Jovan, who attempted to use it to kill Elsa Bloodstone and Jack Russell during the hunt. Elsa was able to disarm Jovan of the axe and took it for herself. During her fight against Liorn, she used it to cut off his right hand, which he was using to fire a crossbow gauntlet. Although Liorn managed to take the axe from her briefly, he dropped it when Elsa fatally shot him with his own crossbow.
Joshua Jovan attempts to sneak up on Man-Thing
Hearing the noise of Jovan's approach, Elsa was forced to roll into a nearby stand of bushes with the dying body of Liorn, leaving the axe behind for Jovan to reclaim. Jovan continued to carry the axe until he finally came face to face with Man-Thing. Before Jovan could make any attempt to use the axe, Man-Thing killed him by burning his head with his acid, forcing Jovan to finally drop the axe, which was left behind at the scene.[1]
