Tyr is the Commander of the Einherjar, the Asgardian Army.

Reporting to King Odin[]
Tyr became Commander of the Asgardian army, the Einherjar. During the Sacking of Asgard by the Dark Elves, he was placed in charge of guarding Jane Foster. After Sif broke Foster out, Tyr reported this fact to Odin.[1]

- Asgardian Physiology: Tyr possesses all of the various superhuman attributes which is normal among Asgardians. His attributes include, strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, healing, and a long life span.
- Superhuman Strength: Tyr possesses tremendous strength which he uses in battle.
- Superhuman Durability: Tyr's body is very resistant to physical and energy damage, making him very durable even without his armor.
- Superhuman Speed: Tyr can run and move at great speed, just like the Warriors that he commands in battle.
- Superhuman Agility: Tyr's agility is very common among the Asgardians.
- Superhuman Stamina: Tyr's physiology allows him to battle for a very long time.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Tyr can react and dodge objects traveling at high speeds this helps in battle to avoid fatal injury.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Tyr's Asgardian body allows him to heal injuries very quickly so he could get out into battle faster.
- Longevity: Tyr, like all other Asgardians, is not truly immortal. However, he can still die, but after a couple thousand years.
Abilities[]
- Master Combatant: Tyr is a highly skilled combatant, having received extensive training in unarmed combat as well as having centuries of combat experience, making him one of the most powerful and best warriors in Asgard. He has demonstrated this while training with Sif.
- Master Tactician: As the commander of the Einherjar, Tyr is in charge of designing attack and defense plans whenever the army is deployed to counter any threats that Asgard may face.
- Bilingualism: Tyr is fluent in his native Asgardian, as well as English.

- In the comics, Tyr is Odin and Frigga's son and Thor's brother, worshiped as the Asgardian God of War.
- In Norse mythology, Týr is Odin and Hróðr's son and Thor's half brother.
- In Germanic mythology, Tyr was originally worshiped as the Sky God, although he was replaced by Odin due to the latter's increasing popularity.
