- "If you're gonna rattle heads for answers, you should know no one goes to Elmore's anymore. I've stitched up enough knife wounds at the shelter to know if you're looking for the current criminal hotspot, the place to go is on 188th Street. Rathole called Trouble in a Pair-of-Dice."
- ―Claire Temple to Luke Cage
Trouble in a Pair-of-Dice is a shady, underground speakeasy that replaced Elmore's Bar a place for local criminals to converse and operate without suspicion.

When Luke Cage mentioned to Claire Temple that he wished to help Cole Miller, Temple informed him that Elmore's Bar was no longer a hangout for criminal mischief, directing him to Trouble in a Pair-of-Dice. Nightfall, Cage walked inside the bar, packed with patrons that lined tables and the counter. He found Turk Barrett in the far back, conversing with a small group of men about his recent theft since the quake. Finding himself face-to-face with Cage again, he is taken to a back room, where Barrett is interrogated on what Mariah Dillard and Shades were up to and whom was recruiting the youth of Harlem. Though Barrett replied that he knew nothing about the recuiter, Cage bashed a keg open, waterboarding Barrett until he revealed that he only knew of a man whom dressed heavily in formal white and was of African descent.
As Cage walked away, he warned Barrett that if his information was not correct, he would return and commented that he would not like him then; Barrett retorted that he did not like Cage presently.
