The MCU "Mephisto" is not nearly the same as the comic Mephisto the Trivia sections were referring to, especially considering that the trivia sections were already talking about comic book counterparts anyways. Even though the name is the same, considering how different they are, they shouldn't even be treated as counterparts.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but precedence of previous pages have comic versions of the characters linked to the MCU page if an MCU version of the character existed, regardless of whether the MCU version was 1:1?
Thanks for the sarcasm, appreciate it, but I don't believe this thread was addressed to you, at all actually, so thanks for butting in :) But considering the ONLY thing you're going off of is a brief mention in a S.H.I.E.L.D. file and literally NOTHING else at all, I'd say there's no comparison to be made there.
That's true, but we don't know anything else about him. There hasn't been any mention of him from any character, like I said, his only "appearance" was being mentioned in a file. It is strange that he called the Tesseract an "infinity gem", but other than that, there's nothing else we know.
He didn't notice it was an Infinity Stone. It is obviously an easter egg, but it features a character and thus the article is created. It doesn't seem to be the regular agent or consultant to be aware of Infinity Gems (Stones)
