Those Who Would Destroy Us is the second episode of the first season of Inhumans.
Synopsis[]
After a military coup leaves the Royal Family stranded in Hawaii, they must find a way to reunite with each other and return home before their way of life is destroyed forever.
Plot[]
Medusa arrives on Earth, inside the Diamond Head Crater and feels her head, fully realizing that her hair and powers are gone. She wonders where she is. On the Haloa Ridge, Karnak looks over the sea. On the Makapu'u Beach, Gorgon goes to the coast and yells for Triton, but receives no response. In Honolulu, Black Bolt and Lockjaw stand in the street. Black Bolt accidentally causes a crash and runs away, while Lockjaw teleports back to Attilan. In the Royal Palace of Attilan, Lockjaw returns, but passes out by exhaustion. Crystal takes him away to heal up.
Medusa radios to Black Bolt on her watch. Black Bolt puts the watch up to his heart to let her know he is okay. He then raises the device to let her hear the cars and traffic next to him. Meanwhile, Karnak makes his way down the ridge, but falls to the ground, leaving him unconscious and bloody. On Attilan, the prisoner, Crystal, is taken to Maximus, who is sitting on the throne. Maximus tries to get her to understand his motives. He then offers her to join him, but she scolds him instead.
Gorgon continues to try to find Triton, but is knocked over by the strong waves and starts drowning. However, he is saved by a fellow surfer. The surfer group and Gorgon chat. At the Callisto Aerospace Control Center, Louise Fisher tries to figure out what the hoof was that damaged their rover. Karnak wakes up and uses his probability powers to determine the best way to go.
Crystal enters her home to find Auran with a gun. She tells Crystal that she will eventually have to comply and then leaves, but drops a comlink. Crystal takes the comlink and calls Medusa who tells her that she dropped it on purpose to trace the call. Medusa then snaps her communication device to stop the tracking. Maximus calls Gorgon who scolds Maximus and hangs up. Karnak continues to make his way to the others, but sees blood on a tree root. He realizes that he has circled back to the place where he had fallen. Auran talks to Eldrac to let her transport to Earth. She lands inside rocks and has to shoot her way out of them and tracks Black Bolt.
Black Bolt gets a suit, but doesn't understand how currency works and accidentally steals it. When the cops arrive, he attacks them and runs. Eventually he is surrounded and arrested. When they taser him, he lets out a scream of pain, which causes a sonic sound wave to level a police car. In Attilan, uses Bronaja to figure out his next plan. He visits Crystal, who still doesn't side with him.
Meanwhile, Auran finds a bus containing the smashed communication device and snaps the drivers neck. She is sneaked up on by Medusa. The two engage in a fight that ends with Auran getting stabbed multiple times by Medusa, killing her. At the police office, Black Bolt breaks out of his cuffs, but politely puts them on the desk. He cooperates and gets his mug shot taken.
In the mines, Maximus approaches Bronaja and Loyolis. He tells them they will play a big part of their society. The new king then addresses the people of Attilan, asking for their help in becoming the "better" king. This effectively unites them. Meanwhile, Auran heals her stab wound and requests Maximus to send back up to take care of the Royal Family.
