Biography[]
Receiving MjĂžlnir[]
Thor receives MjĂžlnir
Thor was entrusted with MjĂžlnir and presented with the weapon during a ceremony on Asgard. Odin declared that only those worthy of the hammer's power would possess its power. At Odin's request, Thor rose from his kneeling position and approached the hammer, pledging to protect Asgard. Thor took the hammer and summoned lightning before throwing it into the sky.[2]
Frost Giant Invasion[]
- "Asgardians! The Jötuns have come for what is rightfully ours!"
"Wrong, Jötun. You've come here to die." - âSif and Thor[src]
Thor, Loki, and Sif had a sparring match with each other, during which Sif attempted to grab Thor from behind. Thor threw her to the side, where she recovered next to Loki. Thor threw MjĂžlnir at an illusion of Loki, causing it disappear. Loki asks how Thor knew that he was not hitting an illusion, and Thor explained that Loki would never allow himself to get hurt. Sif felt it getting cold, causing the three to stop and wonder what was happening. As they looked around, the area was suddenly surrounded by icicles. Sif went to touch one of the icicles, and Thor tried to warn her against it. However, he was too late, and Sif was frozen in place.
Thor fights several Jötuns
A Frost Giant appeared and announced his intention to take what was theirs, prompting Thor to threaten to kill them. The Frost Giant summoned several other Frost Giants to the battle, although Thor fought his way through all of them. As Thor defeated the Frost Giants, their leader insisted that Asgard would be theirs and summon more, prompting Thor to channel lightning through himself as he continued to fight the Frost Giants and destroy the icicles surrounding the arena. Thor again defeated all the Frost Giants, so the leader elevated platforms of ice for his soldiers to fire at him from a distance. However, Thor threw MjĂžlnir at the Frost Giants, killing them. The leader went into the arena to fight Thor himself and summoned more soldiers, but Thor defeated all of them.
Thor was met by several larger Frost Giants, who announced their intention to start a war. He defeated them and summoned an immense amount of lightning, causing one bolt to hit Sif's ice, thawing her. Sif asked how the Frost Giants would have been able to pass Heimdall, and Thor said that it did not matter, as the Frost Giants will suffer for their actions regardless. Sif told Thor to get to the Gjallarhorn and warn the city of the invasion. Thor left, telling Sif to be careful.
Thor went to the city and watched as Frost Giants ran through, creating an icy path behind them. He noticed a large Frost Giant jumping on top of a building and hitting it. He rushed through the city, destroying Frost Giants and icicles along the way. Thor watched as two Einherjar tried to run across the bridge he was approaching, only for a Frost Giant to destroy it under them. Thor jumped over a hole in the bridge and fell into another onto a platform, but he used a ledge to support himself into a nearby building. There, he was met by a Frost Giant who told him to fear the cold and froze him.
Thor used MjĂžlnir to break out of the icicle and navigated through the building, which he left and went into the city, where he saw a large gun firing at the Frost Giants. An Einherjar warned Thor of the Giants coming as the destroyed the gun, killing the soldiers. Thor confronted the Frost Giants who killed the soldiers and defeated them, summoning large amounts of lightning and destroying a statue of Odin. Thor was satisfied that the aqueduct was sealed, but determined to get to the Gjallarhorn as he was aware that there were others. He came across a group of Frost Giants freezing a group of Einherjar and rescued them, ordering the soldiers to defend the city as he rushed toward the Gjallarhorn.
He noticed a large dome of ice form where the Gjallarhorn was and flew toward it, confronting a group of Frost Giants. One of the Giants demanded that they be allowed to retrieve the Casket of Ancient Winters, but Thor refused, threatening to kill all of them. Thor fought the Frost Giants and destroyed them and the surroundings, summoning a trench of thunder force that destroyed a Frost Giants on the other side of the ice barrier that had been set up as well as the barrier. Thor entered the next chamber, where he was confronted by two more Frost Giants wearing armor. Thor destroyed their armors and killed the Frost Giants. He rushed to the Gjallarhorn, which was broken. Thor hit is with his hammer, causing the ice to fall off and the horn to sound, destroying the dome.
Thor fights a Frost Goliath
Thor went to the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf, where he came across Frost Giants trying to break him. He threatened them before engaging, and managed to defeat them. A massive Frost Giant then approached him and summoned ice toward him to create armor, becoming a Frost Goliath. The Goliath attacked Thor, who destroyed the armor on its shoulders. He destroyed the Goliath's cockpit, forcing the Frost Giant out and defeating him while the armor collapsed. As Thor stood over his enemy, he was joined by Sif and two Einherjar, who asked what the Frost Giant had become. Thor simply said that it was large.
The Frost Giant, however, was still alive, and went to attack one of the Einherjar. Sif pushed the soldier out of the way, getting stabbed with an icicle, causing her to collapse. Thor rushed to her side as Sif said that she should have seen it coming. Loki and Odin came out, and Odin tried to comfort him, telling him to find peace. However, Thor became angry and wanted to raise an army to destroy the Frost Giants. Odin tried to explain that war would only lead to more death, prompting Thor to suggest that Odin did not care about Sif's death. Thor decided to go to Niflheim himself, angering Odin, who declared that no one would go. Loki then approached Thor and told him that he could turn their defeat into a victory, telling him to meet at the Rainbow Bridge in one hour.[1]
Defying Orders[]
Thor went to the Rainbow Bridge, where he saw a group of Frost Giants killing several Einherjar. Thor defeated the Giants and was met by Loki. Thor told Loki that he must get to Niflheim, and Loki asked if Thor would kill all of the Frost Giants. Thor told him to show him how, so Loki told him to convince Heimdall to send Thor to Niflheim. Thor approached Heimdall in Himinbjorg, where Heimdall refused to send Thor to Niflheim. Thor said that he would go regardless of Heimdall's permission, and Heimdall explained that he wanted justice as well for having been frozen. Thor insisted that he would go, and Heimdall said that even if he did, Heimdall would not send him. Heimdall then walked away, telling Thor to do what he must. Without Heimdall watching, Thor activated the Bifrost Bridge and told Loki that he had done it. Loki told Thor to attack Niflheim while Odin was distracted celebrating their victory, gloating that the Frost Giants would not predict the ambush.
Thor confronts the Frost Giants
As Thor arrived in Niflheim and asked Loki where he should go. Loki told Thor to be patient and find the Frost Giants' leader, Ymir, prompting Thor to demand to know where he was. Loki told Thor that Ymir was hidden in the ice and could see everything within is domain, explaining that by defeating Ymir's warriors, Ymir himself would be drawn into the open. Loki left, and Thor climbed to the top of the mountain her was in. Seeing a group of Jötuns below, he flew to them and crashed, sending them flying backward. Several Frost Giants then appeared and challenged Thor, but he fought through them. Thor asked if there were more, prompting more to appear and attempt to kill Thor. However, Thor defeated them and shouted that his actions were for Odin, Sif, and Asgard. More Frost Giants arrived and fought Thor.
Thor defeated the remainder of the Jötuns and demanded that Ymir himself arrive, prompting Ymir to reveal his face and taunt Thor, telling the Asgardian to find him and opening a cave for him to do so. Thor destroyed icicles as he wandered the cave and came across several Jade Iceborn Frost Giants. Ymir taunted Thor, saying that his anger will get him killed as he sent a snowstorm at Thor. Thor forced his way through the storm and fought Frost Giants, and Ymir disappeared as Thor approached him. Thor entered a new cavern and was confronted by more Frost Giants who wanted to kill him, and defeated them. Ymir told Thor to fear him as he froze a river, which Thor then walked down before being confronted by Ymir calling him foolish. Thor fought through several more Frost Giants as Ymir sent sharp icicles to come out of the ground at random. Thor summoned a massive amount of lightning and destroyed the projection of Ymir's face, declaring his intention to avenge Sif.
Thor wandered further into the cave, where he came across a massive storm. A projection of Loki asked if he could make it easier on himself by manipulating the storm, but Thor said that the storm being from an unnatural place made it impossible. Loki told Thor that Ymir's powers were being channeled through a Storm Spire, causing Thor to realize that getting rid of the Spire meant getting rid of the storm. Thor navigated the cavern and came across a wall of icicles, which he destroyed before continuing. Ymir sent a turret to destroy Thor, but Thor destroyed it first and reached the Spire. However, he found himself surrounded by walls of ice on either side with Frost giants on a nearby platform. Thor destroyed the platform, causing the Jötuns to fall, and reached the other side of his own bridge before it collapsed.
Thor was confronted by a Frost Goliath and destroyed its armor, knocking out the Frost Giant inside. Two turrets then appeared and started firing at Thor, but Thor destroyed them. Thor entered the spire's cavern and found it guarded by rising icicles. He avoided them as he approached the central cavern, but got confronted by two walls closing in on him. Thor used his hammer to separate the walls and approached the door to the central cavern, opening it with MjĂžlnir. Ymir threatened Thor as turrets started firing at him, but Thor destroyed them. Thor fought his way through several Frost Giants and destroyed the accelerators powering the Spire, he then went to the top and fought the guards, destroying the Spire's defenses and then the Spire itself.
Thor left the Spire and watched as it was destroyed, and Ymir summoned an image of his head to confront Thor, blasting him with ice. Thor destroyed the image and entered Ymir's citadel, where Loki appeared and told Thor that beneath Ymir is a fissure that leads to the core of Niflheim. He told Thor that Ymir was the only thing stopping the heat from rising through the core and destroying Niflheim, prompting Thor to say that he would destroy the will. Loki told Thor that by doing so, he would expose Niflheim to an immense amount of heat before leaving.
Thor confronts Ymir
Thor entered Ymir's chamber and demanded justice for Sif. Ymir said that Thor was in his domain, where he would fall. Thor fought through several Frost Giants sent by Ymir and destroyed the four pillars of the stronghold, prompting Ymir to shout that he has had enough and leave the ice to fight Thor himself. Thor began fighting Ymir, and Thor seemingly destroyed Ymir's armor. However, Ymir continued to taunt Thor, saying that he was eternal. Thor said they should put it to the test and summoned a large lightning bolt to destroy the ice beneath them, causing Ymir to fall. Thor followed Ymir down and hit Ymir, seemingly killing him.
Loki appeared, and Thor told him that Ymir was dead. Loki explained that Ymir could not be defeated so long as ice could form. Loki showed Thor the Cave of Ages, which he said held a weapon that could melt all of Niflheim. Thor recognized that Odin was the one who hid the weapon, wondering why he would do such a thing. Loki suggested that Odin had fought his nerve before leaving. Thor used MjĂžlnir to open the cave, when Ymir appeared and tried to tell Thor that he did not understand what was happening, saying that the Nine Realms would suffer if the cave opened. Thor did not believe Ymir, who refused to allow Thor to cause an apocalypse. The two fought, and Thor managed to open the cave despite Ymir's protests.
The opening cave sent Thor flying back and unleashed Mangog, who declared his intention to get vengeance on Odin and Asgard. Thor went to attack Mangog, who disappeared, leaving Thor to question what he had done. Thor called to Loki, who appeared and was happy to see Thor live. Thor told Loki that Mangog was going to Asgard, asking Loki to send him home. Loki said that he was going to the observatory and to wait.[1]
Stranded on Vanaheim[]
What Thor believed to be the Bifrost appeared, and Thor went through it. He appeared in Vanaheim, confusing Thor. He explored the realm and recognized a pair of Skraelings as they attacked another Skraeling. They started attacking Thor, who defeated them. He entered a building and came across the Vanir interface, recognizing its language and realizing where he was. Thor heard the computer refer to Frostgrinder, realizing it was a potential way to return to Asgard. He attempted to activate the beacon in the interface, but found that something was causing an obstruction.
Thor defeats several trolls
Leaving the building to find the obstruction, Thor encountered more Skraelings and killed them, destroying the items they were carrying. Thor found the tree blocking the computer's signal and broke the parts blocking it, allowing it to reactivate. He attempted to return to the interface and fought more Skraelings, but then got attacked by a group of Swamp Trolls. Thor defeated the Swamp Trolls and found the path to Frostgrinder to be inoperable due to a missing power core. He attempted to return to the interface, but was interrupted by an explosion on top of the building and rubble falling on him. He found the interface anyway, but it was attacked by Skraelings. He defeated the Skraelings and continued looking for a power core, where he fought and defeated more Skraelings and Swamp Trolls.
Thor defeats a Mire Giant
As Thor looked, his path was blocked by a Leechweed, which he destroyed before activating a rune. He continued activating runes to unlock a door, on the other side of which he found a Skraeling with th epower core, being lifted onto a platform by an enslaved Rock Troll. He defeated the Skraelings and Swamp Trolls on the platform, although the red Skraeling caused an explosion which allowed a Mire Giant to attack. Thor repeatedly hit the Mire Giant, who taunted and fought back, ultimately managing to defeat it. Thor then stole the Skraelings' skiff and used it to return the power core to its place and activate the beacon so that he could return to Asgard.
Thor fights from a stolen skiff
As Thor walked on the bridge, a meteor shower started destroying it and its platforms, although he maanaged to follow it anyway and came across a group of Skraelings which he defeated. He destroyed the canon from a skiff and pushed a pile of Leechweeds into the water, causing the Swamp Troll to pull the skiff to go after it. This gave Thor the chance to jump onto the skiff while the Swamp Troll moved it. Thor rode the skiff to Frostgrinder, destroying other skiffs and Skraelings along the way. As he reached Frostgrinder, he was confronted by Skraelings and a group of Clan-Trolls, and knocked out the trolls before going to their paltform and defeating the Skarelings as well. He then saw a malfunctioning lift and found explosives inside, which he used to destroy the wall to Frostgrinder. He then continued down the river, destroying more skiffs and Skraelings as he went.
Explosives were sent to kill Thor, but Thor managed to detonate them from a distance before any could kill him. He got off the skiff and looked for the launch center, noticing a Rock Troll throw Leechwood into the water and sending the Mire Giant away. The Rock Trolls then attacked the giant, trying to destroy Thor's raft. However, Thor destroyed the mortars and took the boat to Frostgrinder.[1]
Fighting Ulik[]
Thor went onto the shore at Frostgrinder, where the Mire Giant that had been pulling his skiff got angry and attacked him. Thor was then attacked by two trolls, which he defeated and then ascended the tower. Thor entered the building from the top and started descending while listening to Valkyrie records reporting on the Rock Trolls' progress as slaves. Thor then came across a footage of one of the final remaining Vanir, saying that Odin sent Mangog after them following Vanaheim's attempt to start a war. She Mangog as a terrible monster who wiped out the Vanir, saying that they found Scabrite in its chains, suggesting that it was the creature's weakness.
Thor reached Frostgrinder, where he found Ulik announcing that the Rock Trolls would return to Nornheim. Ulik recognized Thor, who threatened him. Ulik briefly talked to Loki before demanding that the Rock Trolls and Skraelings kill Thor. Thor fought through the Skraelings and Rock Trolls until he unleashed a large amount of lightning, attacking Ulik, who narrowly avoided before demanding that the War Beast be unleashed. The War Beast threatened Thor and the two began fighting, before Thor ultimately killed it. Ulik, having had enough, retreated into the building that held Frostgrinder and demanding that Thor come to him so they can settle things.
Thor defeats Ulik
Thor went inside and looked around, when Ulik charged at him. Thor deflected Ulik's attack using MjĂžlnir, sending him back. Ulik taunted him, and the two began to fight. Thor defeated Ulik, causing him to land on the ground and back away from the Asgardian. However, Thor grabbed him by the foot and sent him flying through the wall out of the building. Loki then appeared to Thor, prompting Thor to ask where he was and what was happening to Asgard. Loki told Thor that Mangog opened portals for their enemies to invade, adding that Odin would not be able to fight the creature, being in the Odinsleep. Thor demanded to know why Odin was in the Odinsleep, but Loki said that it did not matter due to the invasion.
Loki said that Mangog has no weakness, but Thor revealed that Odin created Mangog and bound it using Scabrite. Loki reminded Thor that one can only find Scabrite in Muspelheim, asking if Thor was brave enough to fight the Infernir in their own land. Thor insisted that he would and went to Muspelheim using Frostgrinder.[1]
Retrieving Scabrite[]
Thor landed in Muspelheim and saw a rock getting mined. Loki appeared and commented on how Muspelheim was not like Asgard. Thor said that they would be similar soon if he could not find Scabrite, so Loki told him that the Infernir used it in their weapons and armor. Loki told Thor that he could find pure Scabrite in the Infernal Forge, where he could forge a sword. However, Thor insisted that he would infuse MjĂžlnir with Scabrite so that it would be the weapon to kill Mangog. Loki warned Thor to avoid fighting Surtur before leaving Thor to his quest.
Thor began exploring Muspelheim, destroying drills along the way. He came across a barrier shield, but destroyed it and continued moving. He navigated through a cave until he came across a river of lava, where a group of Infernir saw him and attacked. Thor grabbed one by the throat and threw to the ground as he became surrounded. He fought the demons off and continued moving, fighting more demons along the way. He came across another shield and looked for a way to get through it. As he came across more Infernir, Thor destroyed part of a wall, creating a new river of lava and attracting the attention of more Infernir which he fought off.
Having gotten through the shield, Thor came across a group of Infernir mining for Scabrite and fought them while they attacked with their drill. Thor deflected a blast from the drill back at it, causing the drill to get destroyed. He was then approached by a larger Infernir, and the two taunted each other before fighting. Thor fought off the larger demon and a group of smaller demons which had come to protect it, when Loki appeared and showed him the path to the Infernal Forge. He told Thor that he was looking for the Infernir's portal to Asgard before disappearing again. Thor followed the path into a mine, where he fought off more demons.
He took control of a drill and used it to create a path for himself. A group of exploding Infernir blocked the way, but Thor fought them off. He destroyed several more drills, fighting off the Infernir and weaponized ore carriers defending them. He found the Core Drill, which was defended by the Infernir Champion. The champion healed itself in the drill's smelter, so Thor destroyed the gems powering it. Thor fought and killed the champion, allowing him to reach the drill. Loki appeared and told Thor that the Forge and a portal to Asgard were on the other side of a shield. Loki told Thor that he could use the drill to get through the shield.
Thor watched the drill start mining for Scabrite and decided to destroy the anchors holding it in place. He fought the demons guarding oneof the anchors and destroyed the shield protecting it, lifting the anchor out of the ground. He saw an Infernir powering up a shield surrounding ore carriers and destroyed them as they were launched. A drill started firing at Thor, who deflected its blast and destroyed it. This brought him to the second anchor, which he removed from the ground. With the anchors removed, he went to the drill and used the runes surrounding the exterior to unlock the door while fighting the demons defending it.
As he entered the drill, he found another champion and killed it. He used his hammer to simultaneous activate the drill to destroy the shield and destroy the drill itself. He escaped the drill as it crashed and went to the gate to the Forge, which Loki identified for him. Thor announced his intention to enter, but Loki stopped him, asking what his plan was. Thor told Loki that his plan was to undo the damage he caused and save Asgard. Loki asked if Thor intended to simply knock, and Thor responded that he knocks loudly. Loki agreed to Thor's plan before disappearing.
Thor fought through the Infernir guarding the gate and used his lightning to damage it. However, another champion came to the Forge's defense, which Thor destroyed. Thor then destroyed the rest of the gate and entered the Forge, where he found a sword made of Scabrite, realizing it rivaled Odin's spear. A voice suddenly announced the sword's purpose to cut a path through Asgard to the Eternal Flame. Thor realized that it was Surtur and demanded that the invasion end. Surtur retrieved the sword and started fighting Thor, who began destroying Surtur's armor. Surtur repeatedly threatened Thor, who destroyed the armor.
Thor fights Surtur
Surtur retreated to a place he could watch and summoned his Infernir to attack Thor. Thor defeated the Infernir and summoned lightning to destroy the platform on which Surtur was standing. Surtur teleported himself to Thor and threatened him, resuming their fight, declaring his intention to march to Ragnarök. The two struggled against each other, until Thor managed to knock the Twilight Sword out of Surtur's hand and destroy him. He destroyed the sword and claimed the power of the Scrabite used to make it. Thor expressed his hope that the sword would not be reforged for a long time. He then rushed to the portal and returned to Asgard.[1]
Defense of Asgard[]
Thor saw two Frost Giants freezing members of the Einherjar and landed near them, killing the Frost Giants. Loki appeared to Thor, relieved to see that he has returned to Asgard. Thor demanded to know where Mangog was, so Loki told him that Odin was fighting it in the Althing. Thor declared his intention to fight Mangog, but Loki said that they needed to retake the Himinbjorg first, since Mangog would be weakened once its horde was destroyed. He revealed to Thor that Heimdall and Sif were defending the observatory alone, surprising Thor as he learned that Sif was alive. Thor said that he would help defend the observatory while Loki said that he would rally their defense. Loki disappeared as Thor told the Einherjar to defend the city and went to the observatory.
Thor arrived at the Himinbjorg and killed the Frost Giants guarding it, rushing to Heimdall and Sif. Thor expressed pleasure at seeing thme, and Heimdall said that they could take their fight to Mangog. Sif explained that Mangog fed off hatred, and they planned to destroy Mangog's forces. Heimdall told Thor to go to the top of the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf, where he could get a clear view of the city. The three shouted that their actions were for Asgard, along with the Einherjar present, and Thor flew to the top of the palace, where Heimdall told him about continued attacks from Frost Giants and Infernir. As he defeated the armies, he returned to the palace. Heimdall told Thor that Gjallarhorn was frozen, and that unfreezing and blowing it would lift the people's spirits.
During the battle, Loki approached Thor, wanting to explain what had happened. Thor told him to do it later, since Asgard needed every warrior, including Loki. He told Loki to defend his city, to which Loki agreed. Thor then returned to the battle, fighting off the armies. Thor learned that one of the areas he left had been retaken by Jötuns who now threatened the Einherjar. He went and destroyed the Frost Goliath there, having the Einherjar return to battle. Heimdall told Thor that the Gjallarhorn was under attack and to defend it. Thor fought of the Jötuns and reclaimed the runes surrounding the Gjallarhorn, allowing him to sound the horn and declare that Asgard will not fall easily.
Returning to the palace, Loki again tried to explain, but Thor again told him to let it wait. Heimdall told Thor that the Jötuns were trying to destroy the Gjallarhorn, so Thor returned to it and defeated them, destroying their canons. Once Thor returned, Loki expressed relief that Thor had returned. Thor scolded Loki for not fighting, but Loki said that he was until he saw the Infernir with a bomb and felt a need to warn Thor. Thor asked if he stopped the bomb, but Loki said that he did not have the skills. Thor then told Loki to wait while he handled the bomb. Thor flew to the bomb and killed the demons present, but a drill was activated as it moved toward the bomb. Thor use the bomb to destroy the drill. He said that with the Jötuns and Infernir stopped, he could turn his attention toward Mangog.
Thor fights Mangog
Thor returned to the palace, where Loki told him to destroy what he had unleashed. Thor said that they were both responsible for Mangog being unleashed, and that they were therefore both responsible for stopping it. Thor grabbed Loki and brought him to the battlefield. Thor and Loki watched Odin get blasted backwards towards them. Odin then told Loki to kill Mangog, prompting Thor to jump into action. Thor went into the arena and distracted Mangog, allowing Odin to throw his spear at Mangog. When Mangog turned to face Odin, Thor hit it with MjĂžlnir.
Thor and his family celebrate their victory
Thor fought Mangog, who used the spear to damage the armor. He gave the spear back to Odin, who threw it at Mangog again, causing him pain. Loki helped by casting an illusion of himself to confuse Mangog while Thor continued attacking. Thor then summoned an immense amount of lightning and used it to destroy Mangog. Odin and Loki approached Thor, and Odin said that Thor's valor saved Asgard. Odin said that he was responsible as well, for having created the weapon in the first place. Loki tried to say that they defeated Mangog together, but Odin cut him off, revealing that he was aware of Loki's part in Mangog's release. Thor and the others watched as Odin released the Vanir from Mangog and shouted "For Asgard!" in celebration of their victory.[1]
Personality[]
Thor is a headstrong individual who is heavily focused on violence. Physically fighting his friends is a pastime for him, and he sees violence as the best response to violence, even to the point of being willing to go against Odin's wishes. He insisted on avenging the death of Sif, refusing to accept any course of action. This was a known behavior to his family, and Odin resurrect Sif in hopes of preventing it. However, he is still willing to do the right thing, such as traveling to the dangerous realm of Muspelheim in order to get what they needed to defeat Mangog.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Asgardian Physiology: As an Asgardian, Thor possesses immense supernatural powers.
- Superhuman Strength: Thor is an immensely strong Asgardian. He is able to shake the ground by hitting it with MjĂžlnir, hurting people around him. He was able to destroy parts of the armor on a Frost Goliath by hitting it with his hammer using his strength. By simply hitting the center of the armor several times, Thor was able to make it entire armor collapse. He was able to lift the anchors holding the Core Drill out of the ground completely.
- Superhuman Durability: Thor's body can handle a significant amount of pressure, even from a Jötun putting his weight into Thor's face. He was able to survive repeatedly being hit to the ground by a Mire Giant while still being able to defeat the Giant. He is also able to grab Fire Demons without burning his skin, even referring to their flames as weak. He was able to survive fire being blown directly onto him by the Infernir Champion. He would occasionally receive gifts from the Valkyrie that resulted in him being able to heal should he come close to death.
- Electricity Generation: Thor has the ability to summon lightning with MjĂžlnir using the Odinforce. He could throw lightning at his enemies and create a lightning shield, shocking people in his vicinity. He is able to charge enough energy to summon lightning and destroy things in their surroundings, and came it at specific things from far away, such as when he aimed a lightning but at Sif to thaw her from the ice. His lightning was strong enough to destroy a layer of ice in Niflheim. His electricity was also able to power objects, such as a skiff used by the Skraelings.
- Flight: Thor is able to use MjĂžlnir to fly to several locations. He flew into the main city of Asgard to warn them about the Frost Giants' invasion. He could fly across large chasms and jump to avoid getting burned by the Infernir Champion.
- MjĂžlnir Capabilities: Thor utilized a hammer which allowed him to harness his weather abilities. He could also use it to control any mechanism controlled by runes. He infused MjĂžnlir with Scabrite, Mangog's weakness, giving Thor the ability to injure the weapon.
- Storm Manipulation: Thor was able to summon wind powerful enough to break him out of ice when a Frost Giant attempted to freeze him. He is also able to summon a thunder force that travels through barriers. His thunder manipulation is strong enough to break his enemies' armor, as he did to several Frost Giants and even Frost Goliaths when they invaded Asgard. MjĂžlnir allowed Thor to manipulate lightning with such precision that it turned the wheels in Himinbjorg and allowed him to travel to Niflheim without Heimdall's help. However, this power came with a limitation that storms of unnatural origin, such as those created by Ymir, were outside of his control. Occasionally, when he summoned lightning, he would summon rain along with it. He could summon the winds into a cyclone as well, harming his enemies.
Equipment[]
- MjĂžlnir: Thor used MjĂžlnir throughout his quests as his primary weapons. Aside from using it as a hammer, it allowed him to summon lightning and manipulate storms. He also used it to destroy armor worn by the Frost Goliaths and to deflects blasts from drills from Muspelheim. He fused the hammer with the power of Scabrite, giving him the ability to killed Mangog.
- Gungnir: Thor used his father's spear in order to damage Mangog's armor during his fight against the weapon.
