- "This may be our darkest hour, but I will not let it be our last. Not while I'm on this throne."
- ―Thor[src]
Thor Odinson is a member of the Asgardian Royal Family. During the paradox period where the 17th and 21st Centuries were merged, Thor became King of England after his sister Hela disappeared into a rift caused by reality collapsing on itself. He blamed Captain Carter's presence to be magnifying the crisis and labelled her a fugitive, sending his army to capture her. In an attempt to execute Carter, he soon realized his mistake and allowed her to restore the world to normal, undoing the paradox.
Biography[]
King of England[]
- "You dare sully this royal hall with your face?"
"Thor, you need to trust me and hand over the Scepter."
"I trusted you once. My sister trusted you. We all trusted you. You failed us." - ―Thor and Captain Carter/Super Soldier Peggy Carter[src]
In 1602, the Asgardian Royal Family ruled over England, with Thor as prince and his sister Hela serving as queen. When rifts began to open that caused the reality to collapse in on itself, Thor banded together with Hela, Nick Fury, and Scarlet Witch to summon Captain Carter, a hero from another universe to help them.
Weeks after no success, Thor attended a performance put on by his brother Loki. Thor watched the play with Hela, but became bored and wished to throw cabbages. The play was disrupted when another rift opened up, and Thor witnessed as Hela was sucked up by it. Carter attempted to save Hela but failed, resulting in Thor being crowned as the new king. Angered at the death of his sister and Carter's failure, Thor told his guards to seize Carter, but she escaped.
Thor had Scarlet Witch brought to him to discuss Carter. Fury and Harold Hogan informed Thor about multiple locations that the rifts had destroyed, and Scarlet Witch assured Thor that Carter was still the solution to their problem. Scarlet Witch then revealed that the cause of the rifts was a Forerunner from another time being displaced without their knowledge. Following his coronation, Thor was gifted a Vibranium sword from the King of Wakanda, T'Challa.
Thor attended a court session, however it was quickly disrupted when another rift opened up. At that moment, the Avengers attacked. Thor told Loki to join the fight, although he claimed to have misplaced the weapon Thor gave him. Carter confronted Thor, but he refused to trust her and they fought. Scarlet Witch and Fury betrayed Thor, allowing Carter to steal the Scepter and identify the Forerunner, which was Rogers Hood, who was sent back to his time.[1]
