Phil Coulson to Nick Fury[src]

Banished to Earth[]

Death[]

"And what of Thor, Prince of Asgard?"
"Goldilocks? You would have recruited him in a heartbeat. Sold him some malarkey about being a hero."
―"Nick Fury" and Yellowjacket[src]
Thor is killed by Hank Pym

Thor is killed by Hawkeye's arrow

Banished from Asgard by Odin, Thor found himself on Earth, while the Mjølnir ended up in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s possession. Thor managed to find his hammer at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Crater Investigation Site, so he infiltrated the facility to get his hammer and his powers back, taking out all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on his way. As Phil Coulson sounded the alarm across the facility, S.H.I.E.L.D. managed to get visual on Thor, who continued fighting S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who blocked his way. With all agents defeated, Thor approached the Mjølnir and prepared to lift it, however, Hawkeye misfired for an unforeseen reason, as Thor was hit in the heart by his arrow and died.[1]

Legacy[]

Asgardian Invasion[]

"Well, what exactly is it that brought you here, Mr. Loki?"
"Vengeance. An agent of this planet murdered Thor Odinson, the Crown Prince of Asgard."
Nick Fury and Loki[src]

As the news of Thor's death reached Asgard, Loki led Sif, the Warriors Three and the Einherjar army on Earth to avenge his brother. As Loki threatened to take over the planet as a retribution, Nick Fury convinced him to give S.H.I.E.L.D. a chance to find his brother's killer, which he decided to accept. As Fury figured out that Hank Pym was responsible for Thor's death, he admitted that he killed Thor, assuming that Fury would try to recruit him for the Avengers Initiative. Although Pym was taken down, Loki did not uphold his end of the bargain and led his armies to conquer the planet for him.[1]

Abilities[]

"We got a perimeter breach. Multiple agents down."
Phil Coulson[src]
  • Master Combatant: Thor was skilled enough to easily take down several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Equipment[]

Weapons[]

"Something that powerful goes missing, someone always comes looking. We just have to cross our fingers that someone is an ally."
Nick Fury[src]
  • Mjølnir: Thor was wielding the magical Uru hammer, which he had lost when he was banished from Asgard. However, before Thor could retrieve the Mjølnir from S.H.I.E.L.D., he was killed by Hawkeye.
