"He discovered that there were universes stacked on top of his own..."
The subject of this article comes from an alternate universe connecting to the main timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This universe is designated by the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki as "Australian Resident Thor".

"Earth is a place that I've come to love. I feel it's a second home and I'm very protective of the humans because they're so helpless and ridiculous."
―Thor[src]

Thor Odinson is a member of the Avengers who temporarily lived with Darryl Jacobson while the rest of his team members were fighting. While living with Jacobson, Thor worked to track down the Infinity Stones and a purple being he could not identify.

Thor became upset that the Avengers did not call them for help settling their conflict, so he resolved to form his own team with Jacobson, Team Thor. He continued to live with Jacobson until he suddenly moved out, forcing him to get a new housemate.

Biography[]

Saving the World[]

Thor Odinson was a prince from Asgard who used to live in a large castle. Thor once fought an enemy, causing the hallways to be filled with blood. He then decapitated the villain, causing his entrails to leave his body. He then ate the villain's eye so that he could never return to Valhalla.[4]

He also helped the Avengers to save the world. This made Thor happy as crowds cheered for the heroes. At one point during their exploits, Thor goaded Captain America into killing various prisoners, promising not to tell anybody else.[5]

Living with Darryl Jacobson[]

Keep Out Darryl

Thor's sign reading "Keep out, Darryl"

Needing time for himself, Thor moved in with Darryl Jacobson, a resident of Australia. Thor and Jacobson got along well, although Thor sometimes left Mjølnir in inconvenient places, such as the toilet seat and the floor, where Jacobson was trying to vacuum. Thor placed a sign on his bedroom, which read "Keep out, Darryl." He kept his armor in his room, as well as Mjølnir, which he kept in a small space he had built to look like a bed. He began cooking an Asgardian food.[5] Thor began to frustrate Jacobson with his lack of concept of time. When Jacobson asked for money for bills, due every fortnight, Thor would commonly say that he would get to it in the next century.[4]

Thor Teaches School

Thor teaches about the Avengers

The New Zealand Documentary Board[6] came to film Thor's exploits living with Darryl Jacobson, and consistently interviewed the two men throughout Thor's time living with Jacobson.[5][4]

Thor spent time in schools teaching about his exploits. He expressed surprise when young students knew who Vision was.

Thor Massages Darryl

Darryl Jacobson helps Thor write an email

Thor asked Jacobson for help sending an email to Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, offering assistance with the conflict that appeared to be brewing between them. In the email to Stark, he mentioned the relationship problems that he and Captain America were facing. In the email to Captain America, he mentioned an instance in which he goaded the Captain into killing prisoners and promised to keep it secret, offering to keep other secrets.

He continued to his search for information about Infinity Stones, at one point showing the documentary team his board regarding information he had collected. He also gathered information about a purple man in a floating chair, having deduced that he was purple, had a magic glove, and did not like standing up. He also speculated as to what Nick Fury knew and whether Fury was truly his last name. Thor also showed off a drawing he made of Mjølnir wearing sunglasses and holding Thor.[5]

Meeting with Bruce Banner[]

Thor and Bruce Coffee Date

Thor and Bruce Banner get coffee together

Thor met with Bruce Banner for coffee, and they discussed what it was like wearing pants when Banner turned into the Hulk. Thor asked whether Banner had heard from the Avengers, as Thor had not, and Banner was then called by Tony Stark. Banner answered the phone. Thor saw Banner turn down Tony's attempt to bribe Banner into joining his side of a conflict amongst the Avengers. Banner offered Stark to talk to Thor, but Stark said he was not available, disappointing Thor. He asked Banner how to contact Thor, but Thor replied that he did not have a phone and requested that Stark send a raven. Thor insisted to the documentary crew that he was not upset, deciding to form his own team, Team Thor, with Darryl Jacobson.[5]

Thor returned to teach school children, explaining a gory scene from one of his battles, and the teacher smiled at him as the children were intrigued.[4]

Playing Connect Four[]

Thor and Jacobson played Connect Four, which Jacobson won. Thor, frustrated, summoned Mjølnir and used it to destroy the game, unaware that it was an heirloom in Jacobson's family.[4]

Hiring a Servant[]

Thor's Market Idea (Team Thor - Part 2)

Thor and Darryl Jacobson disagree about rent

Darryl Jacobson asked Thor for rent, and Thor offered Asgardian gold and pumpkins, worth a fortune on Asgard. Jacobson explained that they could not be used to pay rent, but Thor defended their worth, suggesting that he sell the gold and advertise that Thor used to own it. Jacobson suggested that Thor get a job, but Thor insisted that saving the world was his job. Thor continued to mock Jacobson, and then suggested getting a servant.

Despite Jacobson's protests, Thor hired Shane to be his servant. He ensured that Shane knew his duties involving polishing Mjølnir, cleaning his armor after battle, sharpening Thor's swords, writing Thor's tales, and getting a job to pay Thor's rent. Shane agreed to get paid in Asgardian gold, and Thor asked him to bring him mead.

Dinner Time (Team Thor - Part 2)

In school, Thor taught the students about the Avengers' former friendship, which resulted in a fight amongst them that Thor was upset about not having been invited to. He told the students about the inevitability of endings, and later enjoyed dinner with Jacobson while Shane poured his wine. He placed Mjølnir in a booster seat, and picked him up later, bringing Mjølnir with him.

Thor told the documentary crew about his newfound friendship with Jacobson, and suggested getting him a costume with a cape. He mockingly asked Jacobson to try holding Mjølnir.[4]

Moving Out[]

Thor moved out of Darryl Jacobson's house suddenly, causing him to need to find a new housemate.[6] After the Snap, Jacobson sent Thor birthday wishes and described the chaotic status of his workplace.[3]

Personality[]

"Thor's great. He's kind, he's very strong, he has a particular point of view. But there's another side, which I understand it can be frustrating. He's massively out-of-touch."
Darryl Jacobson[src]

Thor is a very relaxed individual, who focuses mostly on relaxing at home. He leaves his stuff strewn about his and Darryl Jacobson's apartment. He is also a sore loser, having destroyed a Connect Four game when Jacobson won. Thor tends to ignore Jacobson's feelings about things like rent and hiring a servant.

He feels a need to be included, as demonstrated by his consistent writing to Tony Stark and Captain America asking to help in their conflict. Jacobson has described him as out-of-touch, using centuries to measure time.

He also seems to have a more cruel side to him, having once goaded Captain America into killing some prisoners. He kept this to himself but reminded him later of it in an email to try to get him to recruit him.
