Thor's Arena Swords were one of the weapons Thor took with him into battle against the Hulk during the Contest of Champions.

Duel in the Grand Arena[]
Thor took two retractable swords for his duel against the Grandmaster's champion in the Grand Arena. When Thor discovered that his opponent was no other than the Hulk, he tried to appeal to Bruce Banner's personality so that they would not have to fight. However, the Hulk quickly attacked Thor in response, causing Thor to lose Doug's Mace and Shield. As a result, Thor wielded his two retractable swords, but their blades were twisted with a single blow of Hulk's Sakaaran War Hammer, forcing Thor to leave them and find another weapon to use.[1]
Capabilities[]
- Retractability: The swords chosen by Thor for his duel in the Grand Arena, are a pair of 0.90 m (3 ft.) retractable swords with segmented blades that can change their shape, based on the wings of a fighting insect, and fully compacted when inside their scabbards. The handles are outfitted with ribbons that make for extra grip.[2]
