Thomas Shepherd was a boy who was drowned to death by bullies. His dead body was then immediately used as the vessel for Tommy Maximoff, whose soul had been placed in Shepherd's body by Billy Maximoff.

Thomas Shepherd was a boy who had no family or friends and was the subject of bullying. During one such incident on November 2026, he was pushed into a swimming pool by some bullies, who then held his head down underwater, causing Shepherd to drown and die.[4]

Thomas Shepherd's death was witnessed by Billy Maximoff, who transferred his twin brother Tommy Maximoff's soul into Thomas Shepherd's freshly deceased body. Awakening in Shepherd's body, Tommy Maximoff swam to the surface.[4]

Trivia[]

  • In the comics, when Mephisto claimed the souls of Tommy and Billy Maximoff, the twin sons of Scarlet Witch and Vision, Tommy Maximoff's soul was reborn as Thomas "Tommy" Shepherd. Shepherd possessed the ability to run at superhuman speeds, an ability which was bestowed onto him by Tommy Maximoff's soul. Shepherd then became a member of the Young Avengers under the name Speed.
