The Theft of the Iron Man Armor was the result of Obadiah Stane meeting with Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar to retrieve the armor.
Background[]
The Ten Rings kidnapped Tony Stark, but Stark managed to build a suit of armor which he used to escape. However, Stark left the armor behind, leading to the Ten Rings accessing it. Stark decided to shut down weapons manufacturing at his company, Stark Industries, frustrating Obadiah Stane. Stane contacted al-Wazar and asked for the armor, while Stark attempted to figure out who was selling Stark Industries weapons to the Ten Rings. Al-Wazar approached the meeting place, but started to get chased by Stark.[1]
Theft[]
Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar reached the meeting place and found Obadiah Stane there. Stane used his Sonic Taser to render al-Wazar unconscious, causing him to bleed from the ear. Stane then took the Iron Man armor with him and left the area, returning to Los Angeles.[1]
Aftermath[]
Interpol discovered Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar's body a short time later. The theft, and the manner in which al-Wazar was rendered unconscious, led Tony Stark to realize that Obadiah Stane was the person selling weapons to the Ten Rings. Meanwhile, Stane donned the stolen armor and wore it while confronting Stark, but was blown up in it.[1]
