The First Season of The Untold Tales of the Eternals premiered on January 18, 2022 on YouTube.
Synopsis[]
Marvel Studios is proud to bring you six exciting animated short episodes incorporating the heroes from Eternals, each of which will be offered with sign language overlays in multiple sign languages from around the world in partnership with the World Federation of the Deaf and RespectAbility.
Plot[]
Large beings known as the Celestials bring life to the universe and keep a watchful eye on the life within it. Deviants attack Earth, leading the Celestials to send ten Eternals to Earth in order to protect the humans living there. The Eternals fight the Deviants, chasing the remaining Deviants away. The Celestials instruct the Eternals to live quiet lives on Earth and allow humans to develop independently. Thousands of years later, the Eternals continue to protect Earth in secret. While living together, Ikaris and Sersi play a game of speed, in which Sersi transforms several trees into statues. The statues nearly fall, but Ikaris and Sersi stop them. Sersi wins the game and gives Ikaris a second place trophy.
Prior to the Eternals splitting up, Phastos works on an invention which could help the humans while Ajak paces, worried about her responsibility to protect humanity. Ajak gets close to Phastos as she asks him questions about what he is inventing, causing Phastos to get distracted and drop one of his parts. Phastos trips over the part and gets the idea to invent a Trans-Spatial Mass Accelerator and reverse the polarity to create a hover pad so that Ajak can pace safely, impressing both Ajak and the Celestials. Meanwhile, Makkari and Druig play a global game of hide and seek, with Druig hiding in a village in the Mediterranean. Makkari finds the village and evacuates it, creating several sonic booms that cause Druig to give in and let Makkari win. Makkari returns the villagers and has a celebration, but Druig hides again, initiating another round of hide and seek.
Following the Eternals' dispersion, Gilgamesh and Thena live in Antarctica and decide to spar to keep their skills up in case the Deviants return. The two fight, and Thena claims to see Deviants, distracting Gilgamesh and allowing Thena to win. The two then decide to leave Antarctica and move somewhere warmer. Elsewhere, Kingo admires himself in a mirror and compliments his acting abilities displayed in his first time acting. Sprite pulls a prank on him by conjuring an illusion of a maharani asking for a kiss, only to reveal that Kingo was in truth kissing a donkey. Kingo chases Sprite to get back at her, but Sprite avoids him and the two laugh.

Behind the Scenes[]
Continuity[]
This series was created by Marvel Studios and features the Eternals in various original stories set during their time on Earth. In the final episode, Kingo and Sprite, Kingo is shown to be an actor at a time when he and Sprite are together. In Eternals, it is said that Kingo's love of movies originated after he left Sprite, although it is not specified that he was not acting in other media prior to then. Therefore, this season is considered canon.
