The Tragic Life of Doctor Faustus is a play written by Christopher Marlowe.

History[]

Johann Fennhoff[]

Stationed with the Soviet Armed Forces, Johann Fennhoff helped keep the soldiers from feeling pain with his mind control method. While not helping patients, Fennhoff liked to read. In 1943, Fennhoff read The Tragic Life of Doctor Faustus until he was interupted by a medic needing his mind control.[1]

Trivia[]

  • The Tragic History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus is a real play written by Christopher Marlowe, however, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the title is simply shortened to The Tragic Life of Doctor Faustus.
  • Johann Fennhoff reading The Tragic Life of Doctor Faustus is a reference to Fennhoff in the comics where he adopts the supervillain name, Doctor Faustus.
