The Soul Patch was a bar where Thurston Koenig would often perform one-man shows during which he criticized the government and everything affiliated to it, especially S.H.I.E.L.D., accusing them of propaganda and mass manipulation. Thurston's sister LT sometimes attended her brother's performance, although she completely opposed his views since she was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent herself.
In an attempt to find LT, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Daisy Johnson and James Davis went to The Soul Patch, arriving as Thurston was beginning one of his speeches. They were soon confronted by LT, who mistook them for enemies and was able to swiftly defeat Davis before Phil Coulson arrived. The brawl interrupted Thurston's show, much to his annoyance, but he was rendered unconscious by LT. Once Coulson explained that LT was in danger after her brother Billy had been kidnapped, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents left the bar with the still unconscious Thurston.[1]
