- "I messed up so much today, and I wish that I could explain why, but I can't. If I could, I... Well, you know what? It doesn't matter. I just... You gotta believe me when I say that I can do better. I can be better."
- ―Peter Parker to Norman Osborn
The Parker Luck is the second episode of the first season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Synopsis[]
Peter begins an exclusive internship, but his first day is way more complicated than he expected.
Plot[]

Norman Osborn meets Peter Parker
At the Parker Residence, Peter Parker shakes Norman Osborn's hand. Osborn, citing Parker's remarkable academic records and astute intelligence, offers Parker a paid internship at Oscorp, which he gladly accepts. Osborn suggests Parker to come by the Oscorp Tower the next day at four, telling him to tell the staff to send him straight to his office. Osborn then bids goodbye to Parker and departs, leaving Parker and May to celebrate giddily.

Spider-Man webs a criminal
The next day, Spider-Man stops a burglar on the way to school, webbing him to a roof and leaving photo evidence behind for the Police Department of New York City. Spider-Man swings to school and finds the football team in the hallway making raven noises and rubbing their championship trophy. Lonnie Lincoln introduces Parker to his teammates, Johnny, Aaron, and Mike, and explains that the cawing is a pregame ritual. Eberhardt then arrives and sends the group to their respective classes.

Peter Parker meets Amadeus Cho
Later, at the beginning of the football game, Nico Minoru shares her suspicions about Osborn with Parker, although he sees his internship as an opportunity to use more advanced tech. Pearl Pangan comes up to the two and asks Parker when he starts, causing him to realize that he needs to leave. Parker arrives at Oscorp Tower and navigates to the lab on the seventeenth floor. There, he meets Jeanne Foucault, Asha, and Amadeus Cho and Bentley Wittman.

Peter Parker calls Nico Minoru
Wittman gives each intern a task to determine what division of Oscorp they will be working in. Despite wanting to be placed in robotics, Parker is placed in the energy research division with Carla Connors. She tels Parker to ignore Wittman as he is a bit uptight before they begin working. Soon, Parker gets a call from Minoru, and Lincoln informs him that there is a post-game party at Mike's house. Peter tells Minoru he will be there.

Spider-Man enters a battle with Butane
In the lounge area, the interns regroup and talk about their divisions before Foucault turns the TV on, switching through channels until she gets to a report on an arsonist. Parker claims he is going to the bathroom before suiting up in the stairwell. Spider-Man swings over to the area and finds Butane burning the building down from the inside. While the two fight, Butane reveals his employer paid him to burn down the block so they could buy it for cheap.

Bentley Wittman scolds Peter Parker
Butane explains they are on the site of 52nd Street's newest highrise, but Spider-Man informs him that they are on 51st Street. Realizing his mistake, Butane does not relent and continues burning the building. Spider-Man kicks Butane into a pet store, where the web-slinger is able to knock Butane unconscious. He then gets a text from Connors asking about his whereabouts, so he quickly returns to Oscorp Tower. Upon his arrival, Wittman reprimands him, but John Gallo comes in and informs Peter that Osborn would like to see him.

Spider-Man gets caught on a camera
The interns and faculty bid Peter goodbye, thinking his internship will be revoked. Meanwhile, at Mike's house, Minoru leaves Parker a message saying she is bailing on the party since he did not show up. Parker makes his way to the top of the tower and enters Osborn's office, where he pleads with Osborn to not be fired. Osborn turns his monitor around, showing Parker security cam footage of him donning his Spider-Man suit and revealing he knows Parker's identity.
