Caretaker talks to Ana Helstrom
Ana Helstrom chose to stay at The Nines Hotel while visiting her family in Portland, refusing to stay with her brother in favor of the hotel.[1] During her stay, Helstrom dreamed that she was brushing her teeth and started choking on dirt. After waking up, she received a phone call from her brother, revealing that their mother had managed to retake control over her body from the demon Kthara. She went downstairs and found Caretaker sitting in the lobby. She asked whether Caretaker was following her, and he responded by asking whether she was avoiding him. Helstrom told Caretaker that Kthara had told her that her father had returned, and that she intended to kill him. Caretaker tried to warn Helstrom about how dangerous her father was, but she ignored him, saying that her brother did not know. Caretaker advised Helstrom not to let her pride get in her way, but Helstrom simply explained that she was experiencing rage rather than pride and left the hotel.
She later returned to the hotel and laid in her bed, reflecting on her past with her father and Kthara's message about not leaving stones unturned. She left, having resolved to a club.[2]
Sometime later, Helstrom returned to her hotel to find that her room was no longer available. So, she left and decided to stay with her brother.[3]
