The New York Examiner is a newspaper from New York City.

History[]

In 1943, The New York Examiner reported on a mystery man saving a child from a Nazi operative in New York City.[1] They also wrote an article where they were able to confirm Captain America was the mystery man that saved the child in New York.[2] Three years later, another article of The New York Examiner reported about Howard Stark, who had been accused of selling weapons weapons to US enemies, failing to convince the United States Congress of his innocence and that a third day of ceremony was expected. The article "Stark Manhunt in 3 States" was published when Stark decided to travel overseas to avoid being arrested.[3]

By 2015, The New York Examiner reported on a murderous vigilante being captured by the NYPD after a murder spree in Hell's Kitchen.[4] Weeks later, they published an articled titled "Frank Castle Dead - Escaped Vigilante Suspected Dead After Explosion", detailing the Punisher's supposed death during the explosion at the docks.[5] The Homeland Security files on Castle included a photocopy of the article.[6]

The New York Examiner wrote an article on how tensions arose among world leaders following the events of Sokovia.[7]

In 2017, The New York Examiner published an article titled "The Bulletin Attack", with details about the assault at the New York Bulletin Building that resulted in the deaths of several New York Bulletin employees. The press blamed Daredevil for the incident, branding the vigilante as a terrorist.[8]

By 2024, there was a copy of an article from The New York Examiner in the Captain America exhibit.[9] During the Mysterio and Spider-Man controversy following the Battle of London, J. Jonah Jameson had an article from The New York Examiner featuring Spider-Man in his office.[10]
