The Mastermind is Revealed is the fifth and final episode of the first season of the web series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Double Agent.
Synopsis[]
On the run with a stolen copy of the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. finale, the double agent finds himself in a desperate car chase with Marvel Security. The Mastermind's true identity is revealed and our adventure culminates in a startling conclusion.
Plot[]
Alex Mind is being pursued by Marvel Security in a high speed chase. He calls The Mastermind and confirms that he has the finale but is being tailed. The Mastermind orders him to lose them and deliver the hard drive.
Mind successfully loses his pursuers and reaches the Mastermind's hideout. The Mastermind appears to be Stan Lee, and he begins uploading the finale. He then notices that Mind is still wearing his lanyard, which is traceable. Dirk and his team arrive, stop the upload and arrest Mind and the Mastermind. Clark Gregg appears on the monitor and thanks Dirk for ending the crisis and promises to take him for a ride in L.O.L.A.. The Mastermind reveals that he is not Stan Lee, but his evil clone Lan Stee. Despite Gregg's attempt to convince him to wait for the finale like everyone else, Stee refuses to surrender. Gregg then orders Dirk to take Mind and Stee to the Fridge, which Mind is shocked to discover is a real place. Gregg comments that you should never mess with Marvel, and is inspired to give the fans a taste of what is to come based on their excitement about the potential leak.
