- "The gods aren't really his favorite topic."
"Not even when they are old friends?" - ―Marc Spector and Yatzil
The Friendly Type is the third episode of the first season of Moon Knight.
Synopsis[]
With Marc in the forefront and Harrow ahead, Marc and Layla navigate Cairo for intel.
Plot[]
With the Scarab of Ammit, Arthur Harrow successfully finds the place where Ammit's tomb was buried, although he gets informed that Marc Spector is after them. Spector arrives at Egypt to hunt down the Disciples of Ammit, while Layla El-Faouly follows him, upset that he departed without any warning. Spector confronts the Disciples of Ammit in Cairo, and although Steven Grant tries to prevent Spector from killing anyone, all disciples get killed, while both Spector and Grant claim they did not do anything.
Spector realizes that he has no leads on Harrow or Ammit's tomb, so Khonshu makes a decision to call for the trial of Gods, so the Ennead would judge Harrow. Osiris, Horus, Isis, Tefnut, and Hathor gather at the Chamber of the Gods inside the Great Pyramid of Giza to judge Harrow, as Khonshu accuses him of trying to resurrect Ammit and bring devastation upon Earth. However, Harrow easily disputes Khonshu's accusation, denying that he has any involvement with Ammit and points at Khonshu as a misguided abuser who has been tormenting Spector for his own gains.
The Ennead reach a verdict that Harrow is innocent, but Yatzil secretly informs Spector about Senfu, a medjay who was tasked with recording the location of Ammit's tomb, so the Ennead themselves would not know it. Aware that Senfu's sarcophagus was sold on the black market, Spector tries to gather some information on the streets, but as he finds nothing, El-Faouly helps him. She arranges a meeting with Anton Mogart who had the sarcophagus in his possession, so they could find any clues about the tomb's location. Mogart agrees to let them look, and as they fail to find anything, Spector reluctantly asks Grant for help.
However, Mogart's men turn on Spector and El-Faouly for tampering with the sarcophagus, before he gets informed that there is a third party involved. Harrow appears at the scene, offering Mogart a more tangible deal and shows him the Scarab. He then demonstrates his powers to Mogart, using the Staff of Ammit to destroy Senfu's sarcophagus. Spector turns into Moon Knight and confronts Mogart's men while El-Faouly steals the cartonnage from the sarcophagus and aids Moon Knight in his battle against Mogart.
Arriving at the desert, Spector and El-Faouly's attempts to figure out the catronnage end up fruitless, so Spector decides to give the body back to Grant, who had the knowledge that could help them. Grant pieces together the catronnage into a map of constellations that is supposed to point at Ammit's tomb, however, the star's positioning had changed over centuries. Khonshu makes a decision to use his powers and reverse the constellations, so the location could be revealed, but warns Grant that the Ennead will punish him for disobeying, and asks Spector to free him.
With Grant's help, Khonshu manages to turn back the sky, allowing El-Faouly to triangulate the location of the tomb. However, the Ennead imprison Khonshu inside an ushabti prison. Afterwards, Selim brings Harrow to the Chamber of the Gods and shows him an ushabti with Khonshu trapped inside, as the Ennead are now reassured that he is too dangerous. Harrow then speaks with Khonshu in private, telling him that his torment forged Harrow into the man he is now, and that his victory will be Khonshu's responsibility.

- The back of Young Punk's jacket has an illustration of a pharaoh headpiece, which resembles the headpiece of Rama-Tut, one of the versions of Kang the Conqueror from the comics, that became a pharaoh in Ancient Egypt. The crew members of Moon Knight confirmed it was an intentional reference.[2]
