Daimon Helstrom frequented The Blue Heron Restaurant. He brought Ana Helstrom to the The Blue Heron when she first returned to Portland after not returning due to a traumatic experience in her youth. Ana commented on the poor quality of the coffee, although Helstrom explained that they had good biscuits. Ana ordered a fruit platter and a biscuitwich, and Daimon ordered his usual. Helstrom explained that she was visiting because she had concluded that their mother's health condition was worsening, which Helstrom confirmed and explained his hope that the two of them could try to exorcise Kthara together. Helstrom expressed his desire to have a relationship with Ana, who complained about their mother's favoritism towards him. Daimon got annoyed and demanded to know the true reason she had returned, and she explained that she wanted to talk to her mother in case she really was dying. Ana told Daimon that she wanted one-on-one time, and although Daimon was at first hesitant, he eventually agreed to let her. He told Ana that he was a professor of ethics, and Ana replied that it was awful. Daimon offered Ana a place to stay, although Ana said that she had booked a room at The Nines Hotel and left. The waitress then brought Daimon and Ana's food.[1]
