- "I thought I'd start by telling you a quintessential Dorothy Walker story about how she pushed me to get a particular job on a sitcom called That's Our Girl."
- ―Trish Walker[src]
That's Our Girl was a planned American sitcom, whose name and concept was changed to It's Patsy due to the casting of Patsy Walker.
History[]
- "The best friend, named Surprise."
"The show is called That's Our Girl, not What the Hell Kind of a Name Is Surprise." - ―Trish Walker and Dorothy Walker[src]
As as an executive of That's Our Girl, Devlin Hoskins chose Carrie Leigh Hursch to portray the main character, named Vicki, and Patsy Walker as her best friend, named Surprise. However, Dorothy Walker was not satisfied and convinced Hoskins to try her daughter as the main character. Hoskins was impressed by Patsy's performance and decided to get her the lead role, as well as changing the character's name to "Patsy". Executives and the network were satisfied by Patsy's performance, so Walker suggested Hoskins to change the title to That's Our Patsy! or Here's Patsy, what he agreed to consider.[1]
