As everyone was leaving Thor's party on Earth, Thor went up to Nebula, who dismissed Thor by briefly saying that her father, Thanos, was calling her.[1]

Battle for the Ducks' Egg[]

Thanos sent the Black Order for their mission to hunt the Infinity Stones. He was eventually contacted by Ebony Maw to inform him of a great power located on Jotunheim. He arrived, believing it had to do with the Infinity Stones, but was ignored by the crowd of aliens chasing Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis. Thanos was at the point displeased that Maw summoned him because of an egg, for which Maw nervously convinced him it was magical.

Ultimately, Thanos and the assembled aliens watched as the egg unleashed its power, with Thanos admiring its beauty before it killed him.[2]
