Thanos is a Titan who is relatively known by Thor as the man in the floating chair.

Thanos became known by Thor as the latter began tracking the Infinity Stones in Australia. Thor did not know that much about him and only listed that he was a man in a floating chair, was purple, has an Infinity Gauntlet, and does not like standing up.[1] Thanos eventually obtained all of the Infinity Stones[2] and placed them in the Infinity Gauntlet.[1] He snapped his fingers, resulting in the deaths of a significant portion of the population.[2]
