Thanos was a genocidal warlord from Titan, whose main objective was to bring stability to the universe by wiping out half of all life at every level. During his quest to obtain the Infinity Stones, Thanos arrived on Earth to retrieve the Mind Stone, only to be killed by Ultron who took the Stones for himself and embarked on a galaxy-wide genocidal campaign.

Confronting Ultron[]
In an attempt to achieve balance in the universe by wiping out half of all life, Thanos sought to obtain the Infinity Stones and succeeded in obtaining the Power, Reality, Space, Time, and Soul Stones. Thanos then opened a wormhole to the Avengers Tower in a destroyed New York City to obtain the Mind Stone and confronted Ultron. However, Ultron, who was fascinated with the Stones, effortlessly killed Thanos by cutting his body in half with a laser beam from the Mind Stone and obtained all the Stones for himself which turned him into a cosmic being.[1]
