General Thaddeus E. Ross is a United States Army general who hunted Hulk.
Biography[]
Hunting Hulk[]
Tracking in Alaska[]
General Ross got word of Hulk's whereabouts in Alaska. Although he was a former lover of Thaddeus' daughter, Betty, Thaddeus knew he had to stop what he saw as a monster. Thaddeus sent his troops to Alaska to find Hulk. However through a long time of chasing, his soldiers came up empty and the trail went cold for years.[2]
A New Lead[]
Five years later, Ross got another lead on Hulk in Porto Verde. He sent in Captain Emil Blonsky, who used an armor to fight. Much like the past years though, Hulk was too much to handle. Running out of options, Ross met with Blonsky and they agreed to inject Blonsky with experimental Super Soldier Serum to help him fight Hulk hand-to-hand. Ross made sure that Blonsky understood the danger and that if there were any side effects, he would be pulled from action.[2]
Chase at Culver[]
The United States Army followed Bruce Banner to Culver University where he was seen with Betty Ross. Although Blonsky was at a good angle to snipe Banner, Ross made him hold up until Banner was away from his daughter. This did not matter though as Banner saw Blonsky and hulked out, leading to a destructive rampage through Culver. [2]
Creating an Abomination[]
Tracking Hulk once again, the army arrived at Empire State University where Emil Blonsky found Banner and Betty Ross in Samuel Sterns laboratory. Blonsky radioed that he could go in and take care of Banner, but Ross refused saying it was a last resort. However, Blonsky did not listen adn made a move. This forced Ross to do the same. He and his troops arrived and shot Banner, knocking him out. Ross then took Banner into custody. When all seemed well and finished, Ross realized a grave mistake: Blonsky had become greedy and turned himself into a hulk-like creature. Ross had no choice but to let out Hulk, who finished off Blonsky allowing Ross to take Abomination into custody. Both Rosses watched from a rooftop as Hulk jumped away. Betty turned around before leaving, telling her father she hoped it was worth it.[2]
Abilities[]
- Master Tactician: Ross led his own troop of soldiers to take down Hulk. As General, he called all of the shots and only fell short due to Emil Blonsky's impatience.
