- "I don't want to play ball with you. There are a hundred other things to talk about."
- ―Pepper Potts to Tony Stark[src]
The Tech-Ball is a ball which Tony Stark invented.
History[]
Used by Tony Stark[]
Tony Stark invented the Tech-Ball and kept one in his laboratory in his mansion. Stark bounced the ball as he struggled to find a sollution to his Palladium poisoning, but was interrupted by Pepper Potts' scolding him for donating his art collection. He continued bouncing it as they argued, and Stark let the ball fall off the desk. Stark threw the ball to Potts, who caught it, causing it to wrap around her hand. However, Potts refused to play, and the Tech-Ball turned back into a ball which Potts put down.[1]
Battle at Stark Expo[]
Tony Stark integrated the Tech-Ball into his Mark VI armor and wore the armor to confront Ivan Vanko at Stark Expo. He gave the Tech-Ball to Pepper Potts, who caught it and allowed the ball to wrap around her hand as a gauntlet which blasted a repulsor ray that killed Vanko.[1]
Capabilities[]
The Tech-Ball is a ball which wraps around the hand of the person who catches it. The ball was integrated into the Mark VI Iron Man armor and was able to be thrown to Pepper Potts. Once around the user's hand, it can fire a powerful repulsor ray that was capable of destroying the Mark II Whiplash Armor.

Trivia[]
- The Tech-Ball appears in a deleted scene from Iron Man 2, in which, during the Battle at Stark Expo, Pepper Potts tosses it to Tony Stark, who allows it wrap around his hand to form a gauntlet. Stark then uses the gauntlet to free both himself and Pepper from Whiplash's electric whips so they can escape before Whiplash is killed by an Ex-Wife Missile fired by War Machine. However, due to the non-canon nature of this deleted scene, the appearance of the Tech-Ball is not considered canon to the events of the final film.
