Taskmaster's shield is made of a durable material and shaped aerodynamically so that it can be thrown just like Captain America's shield. However, since it is not made out of vibranium, it does not ricochet in predictable ways. Taskmaster therefore has to pick up the shield manually every time it is thrown. The shield also has a greater tendency to lodge itself in obstacles compared to the vibranium shield. It is also smaller than Captain America's shield.

- In the comics, Taskmaster's shield was based on the design of Captain America's Shield but was not comprised of the same combination of Vibranium and Adamantium. He also used an Energy Shield.
