Choctaw History[]
As the United States of America was established, the Choctaw people settled in the town of Tamaha, Oklahoma. The Choctaw people would remain their ancestral land and hold an annual Choctaw Nation Powwow every year. The powwow held great cultural significance and included music and ceremonies.[1]
Car Crash[]
As a young girl, Maya Lopez lived with her family in the town of Tamaha. When Lopez was having a fun time with her cousin Bonnie, it began to rain, and Lopez and Bonnie went inside. Lopez then asked her mother Taloa Lopez for hot chocolate but was told they were out.
Instead, Taloa offered to take Lopez to the store to get more hot chocolate, but their vehicle was hit by a truck while on their way. The crash caused the death of Taloa and the loss of Lopez's right leg. Lopez was taken to the hospital, and when she recovered, she and her father William Lopez left Tamaha for New York City.[2]
Fisk Shipping[]
When William Lopez was killed by Wilson Fisk, his brother Henry Lopez wanted out of Fisk's crime syndicate. However, instead of letting him go, Fisk threatened his life an Henry left New York City for Tamaha, where he established a Fisk Shipping Yard which was used to illegally smuggle weapons.[2]
Maya Lopez's Plan[]
Having shot Wilson Fisk in the face, Maya Lopez returned to Tamaha in an attempt to put an end to Kingpin's empire. She planned to enter a train run by Fisk Shipping and plant a bomb in order to have it blow up at the Fisk Shipping Yard in New York City. Upon successfully executing her plan, she was kidnapped by Vickie Tyson and held hostage at Black Crow's SkateLife for Zane's arrival. However, Lopez escaped and was let go on orders of Fisk.[3]
Kingpin's Rage[]

Having let Maya Lopez go, Wilson Fisk arrived in Tamaha and attempted to get her to rejoin him in his criminal empire. However, he was unsucsessful and decided to attack her and her Choctaw family at the Haskell County Fairgrounds during the Choctaw Nation Powwow. Fisk executed his plan, but was foiled by Lopez and her family when Henry Lopez killed Zane and Biscuits ran over his vans of goons with a monster truck. Having lost the battle, Fisk retreated and left Tamaha.[1]
