- Renamed to Wappinger Falls, Still noted as a version of the Real World Town
I understand the Wappingers Falls is a real place in New York, but the entrance sign sign in A.K.A. The Double-Half Wappinger says "Wappinger Falls." So do the police cars, the town hall sign, the police badge above the service window, the youth police academy sign, the town hall directory board, Nathan Silva's police report (in two places), and the wrestling bag. Should the town be referred to as Wappinger falls, with the information about the real-world town in the trivia? --Jessica3801 (talk) 03:33, February 17, 2020 (UTC)
- Personally, I'm leaning more towards this being a production error. They clearly didn't film it in Wappingers Falls, but I believe the intent is still there. Good trivia though. Criszz (talk) 10:39, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- While they may have intended it, that is not what they did. Every place that has the town name lists it as "Wappinger Falls," I feel like it would be an assumption to say that this is set in Wappingers Falls. -Jessica3801 (talk) 21:54, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- I think that the page should be renamed due to the many times it is spelled without an S. However, I still think that this page should be considered the town in New York because that is the intent. So it would be like a real place with differences in the MCU from real life. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 23:10, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- I think I agree with that. With the numerous examples Jessica stated, we would rename and treat it on pages as "Wappinger Falls" but would not list the page under "List of Fictional Cities". We would treat it as the analogue to the real-world location, and note the spelling difference (along with all of the examples listed above) in the Trivia section. However, of course, should the location reappear later in the MCU under its true name, we can discuss renaming it back then. But until such a time, a rename is the way to go. But keep the original name as a redirect, I think, since it is meant to be analogous to a real world location. •

Through discussion here and additional discussion internally with staff, this page has been renamed to Wappinger Falls while still noting it to be the real life town and not a fictional town. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 23:37, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
