- Renamed {{{sig}}}
I've discussed this with Rman on the server, and we believe this article should be renamed to Sue Storm. She was never referred to as the Invisible Woman in the film, and the article seems to already understand that with the Sue Storm title, lack of Invisible Woman alias, and no mention of Invisible Woman in the body of the article. I think we were surprised that it hadn't been renamed already, and this proposal would just make the article more consistent overall. Criszz (talk) 02:45, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- I just discussed this yesterday without knowing this talk page existed. I agree. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 22:57, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- I see no reason for a rename, particularly if it is just to change it to Sue Storm. If the claim is because "Invisible Woman" is never said, the same is for "Sue," so how can we be sure they mean her? In fact, how do we have the names of their children when they weren't said either? But if we are allowing an assumption for Sue, we therefore must also be willing to assume Invisible Woman.-Bozz77 (talk) 23:06, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reed mentions a wife. Conjecture kicks in for her name. He mentions having kids (plural). Conjecture kicks for the kids' names. However, the movie never states anything beyond a wife. It doesn't mention his wife is part of the Fantastic Four, or has powers. Therein lies the difference. • MJLogan95 | Message Wall • Contributions 23:19, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- But, an important distinction is that we know the Fantastic Four exist. So shouldn't conjecture kick in for her being a part of the team? Plus, also, who are we kidding, we know that she's Invisible Woman. The people that made the movie didn't create some unique backstory where actually in this universe she never became a superhero. We're just making it more complicated for ourselves.-Bozz77 (talk) 23:27, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- I think if we say "She's Sue Storm because they never called her Invisible Woman" then we should remove her being part of the Fantastic Four because that too was not said in the movie. So either we keep the information as it is now (Invisible Woman + F4) or we remove both. Having the page just be renamed to "Sue Storm" but retain that she's in the F4 wouldn't be right, imo. And yes, obviously the idea is that she's in the F4, along with Johnny and Ben, but that isn't said and the nature of the Multiverse is that anything could be different. • MJLogan95 | Message Wall • Contributions 23:31, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- Until there's information that indicates otherwise, I don't think we should assume 838 Sue is Invisible Woman or an F4 member. - DemKnux (talk) 21:43, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- I also agree that this page should be renamed to Sue Storm. As pointed out, she is never stated to be a superhero or a member of the Fantastic Four. Unless something new is revealed that says she is either Invisible Woman her name should just be Sue Storm. - Fish Master 41 (Message Wall) 23:06, August 10, 2024 (PST)
