Rename[]

  • Support Rename to "Big Ben" as that's the character's alias in the comic books and is employed in the Luke Cage episode "The Main Ingredient". It fits with the Naming Policy.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Gonzalo84 (message wallcontribs)
It's not an alias in the MCU the same way that "Spider-Man" or "Iron Man" are, it's something he's called twice. Big Ben is currently a redirect to this article, and I am in favor of keeping it that way. -Jessica3801 (talk) 12:02, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
"Black Mariah" is a nickname used a few of times to insult Mariah Dillard and yet her article is named Black Mariah. Billy Russo is only called "jigsaw-faced bastard" ONCE and yet the article is called "Jigsaw". Similarly, Obadiah Stane only says "we are iron mongers" to Tony and his article is called Iron Monger. The context is different. Mariah Dillard, Billy Russo, and Obadiah Stane exist in the MCU in the capacity of being Black Mariah, Jigsaw, and Iron Monger. Mariah was called that her whole life, and in the modern day she's doing the same things that Black Mariah does in the comics under that alias. Billy is the villain that Jigsaw is in the comics. Stane is the villain that Iron Monger is in the comics. Ben Donovan does not exist in the villainous capacity under which he is called Big Ben in the comics. He's just a lawyer. A lawyer who helps criminals, but he's not a villain himself, he doesn't fight Luke at all in the show like in the comics. That's the difference, at least for me, in terms of the rename. -Jessica3801 (talk) 22:40, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
In the comics, Big Ben is also a lawyer. Adn if we're gonna go by "context", then I guess the Whizzer article shouldn't be called that, since "the Whizzer" is just his nickname and he never acts in a superhero capacity.Gonzalo84 (talk) 17:10, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
I do agree with this rename. We have used article codenames as titles for far less than two mentions in other pages. Criszz (talk) 08:21, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
